  1. Pretty nice band over my area. At this point just take what I can get.
  2. Yeah. I don't remember seeing it on FB, only here. I may have, but just don't remember it there. Not sure why that would even be a facebook thing since it would have only been geared to us weather weenies.
  3. Branford is like mid-Atlantic weather. lol
  4. More than 10 days out, but this will most definitely verify, exactly as shown.
  5. It will be back after this next wave of futility is over next week.
  6. ...Going in to hibernation in 3-2-1...
  7. I am hearing awesome sounds as the temperature changes and cracks are forming on the lake just now. It echos across the silence of the lake.

  9. ...Who cares if a thread is made this far out? I know some criticized John for his thread last week, well in advance for tomorrow's storm, but honestly, who gives a sh.it. It's like the radio, if you don't like what's on then turn it off, and avoid the station. My guess is that more people than not venture into these long range threads to take a peek, if only for the long range, voyeuristic view into what could be...Then if the trend turns ugly those same people cry foul for such an early thread. Like JC said, a thread doesn't affect anything. If you believe in the voodoo juju affecting winter storms in real life then see a witch doctor.
  10. If we are going to go full Twilight Zone, then of course the Great White Hurricane of March, 1888 is the benchmark winter monster that I would want to visit. Growing up in the capital region of New York, this was the storm of all storms that was discussed when I was young. My cousin Marsha, who was over 100 years old when I was a kid would tell stories of that storm. She was 13 or so years old when it happened. Sheer Epicosity indeed.
  11. Someone post the most snowiest clown map solution for Monday...Even the most obscure model, just to get weenies aroused.
  12. I grew up in the 70s and 80s, but in the Albany area. winters there were ok. Sometimes I have those conversations with people where I say, "I remember when the snow was always on the ground and the ponds were frozen by Thanksgiving, Yada, Yada, yada" It is probably just that nostalgic way of thinking though. People seem to remember the best parts of childhood when it comes to stuff like this. Even if it was a s.hit bunch of winters, the glory storms stick out, and stick out in a way that it seemed like every winter was glorious, even though it wasnt.
  13. It's been over since Wednesday for us. What's left of my snow took a nice hit overnight. Fog city most of the night. Enjoy the frigid temps, they're the only ones we got.
  14. Fish storm tomorrow, arctic cold then maybe snow, but probably rain end of the weekend. WONDERFUL.
  15. ...Our hopes and prayers rest on an epic February since a warm Morch is undoubtedly waiting in the wings to break the winter of 21/22's fragile, ailing and covid infected back.
  16. ...Keep it tracking west. Send that sh.it show up through the Ohio valley. Enough is enough of this tom-fu.ckery. I want out but I can't get off the damn ride.
  17. ...Except for the literal rain that happened on Christmas day 3 weeks ago.
  18. lol. This is great. F*ck it. Let it rip. I had my "Big" (6 hour) snow storm of the year, and my 2 nights of arctic are with nothing to show for it. F*ck all and F*ck winter. F*ckin' time to move on to spring. @Damage In Tolland Kev, fire up the lawn, garden and Lesco thread.
  19. The, "I have a Dream (of snow)", Martin Luther King storm?
  20. What are people here doing wrong with their measurements vs. the "official' ones from the NWS final tallies? More than not the official numbers are lower than the ones we give.
