I have 30+ conditioned buildings that I deal with where I work, with a good number of them sprinklered. Some of the buildings are over 100 years old. Code has us checking the systems multiple times per year.

Did you do anything special to prep the cabinets for painting? I have never painted over a stain before, and always assume there is special work that needs to happen, prior to the top coat. What kind of applicator did you use? Looks smooth.

When I was a kid I would always swim at the lake in the Adirondacks on Memorial Day...Some years the ice would have broken up only 4 weeks prior. That kind of action would be tough for me to do today.

Old Forge, NY getting hammered. Looks like about 6" as of this a.m. Web cam hasn't updated since around 6:30 or so.

Up to a foot maybe at my dads place in the Adirondacks over the next few days. Probably won't be that much, but I could see 6" or so.

At least there was something to track. It kept the mind off of how sh.itty a month April is, for at least a few weeks of it. Now we are halfway through the month.

Just read this. Wow. Sorry to hear this. Truly, I am. Heated banter back and forth on a web forum is one thing, but in the end, none of it matters in the end compared to the loss of a family member. My sincerest condolences to you.
