  1. That was awesome. Hollywood Squares was right there for me along with Bob Barker when I was home "sick" as a kid.
  2. Anthony on the scene? https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/multiple-people-shot-in-brooklyn-subway-sources/3641743/
  3. Just read this. Wow. Sorry to hear this. Truly, I am. Heated banter back and forth on a web forum is one thing, but in the end, none of it matters in the end compared to the loss of a family member. My sincerest condolences to you.
  4. lol...Saw Demons and Wizards and I thought you were talking about the power metal super group. @WinterWolf theme right here:
  5. American History X. Such an awesome movie.
  6. We (more you, than me) were kings of Connecticut for a season. It was kind of nice.
  7. Finnish rockers. Yeah. I can't make that date. Was going to try for the next night in NYC, but that probably won't work out for me since it's a Sunday.
  8. Loved the 80s stuff, and never really thought much about what they wore, since much of the European metal scene was/ is heavy on the leather. Painkiller is my favorite album.
  9. If winter never happens did winter truly exist?
  10. Even by the age of 21 it was disappearing like the arctic sea ice.
  11. No. Blackmore played with DP on the Slaves and Masters tour. I think it was spring of 1991. My friend's dad was the tour manager for Winger during that tour (Winger opened), and I remember Reb Beach, the guitarist for Winger having a meltdown after their set because of all of the "Blackmore is God" banners that people were holding up. The Worcester police even had to calm him down because he was in the sidewalk shouting and causing a scene next to the tour bus. Funny sh.it. ...Soon after that date there were issues with the tour...lack of ticket sales and other internal stuff with Deep Purple, all happening as the rise of grunge was taking place. I am not sure if they finished it, or had to postpone dates. Me and Kipp Winger backstage at the Centrum, just prior to the guitarist meltdown. Yeah, that is an awesome bleached out denim jacket I'm sporting there.
  12. I put this thread out, but usually on the eve of Wiz's May 1st severe season to allow capturing all of those north country April snows, but @WxWatcher007 beat me to it. Not expecting an epic April, so here it is... Overall Seasonal Snowfall: B+ Over average snowfall. Snow vs. Rain: C Too many cutters that really kept what could have been a deep pack for a good chunk of the season. Rain sucks. Staying power/ (number of days) of the pack: B+ 8 weeks of 100% snow cover, although there were a few of those days that barely held on with a few inches or so. Local winter enjoyment: C The ice was in and out, and in and out, and there were only a couple of snow shoe days, even after multiple 12" plus events. Temperature: B Snow Storms/ events (quality/ quantity): B Besides a 13.5" event, and a 20" event, the next largest event was 6". Many nickel and dimers to pad the stats made for o.k. events, but really nothing epic. The long rainers to an inch or 2 of snow was a whole lot of waiting around for nothing...and then cold. Overall Grade: B- My location was in a pretty lucky spot this season, while so many people west of me suffered, so I really can't complain overall.
  13. I am not sure. I've read the stories, and some of it doesn't add up on both sides...particularly the whole thing with the "farewell tour' a bunch of years ago. For whatever reason the connection never happened, and now he is doing his own thing. I thought Tipton was going to be brought out for a song or 2 last night because he has been making appearances, but I think the Parkinsons is really taking its toll on him. Really sad.
  14. This has to be it for Rob Halford though. 70 years old, cancer in remission, and basically beating his voice down for 50 years. He sounded better in 2019, but you can hear the vocal enhancements more. Was good to see them one last time, but I think it's time for Rob to retire. He is a legend and THE "metal god", so he has not much more to prove. Seen them 7 times since 1986, but I know this was it. Always will be one of my favorite bands. Note to self... I will never see a metal show in that venue again. Terrible place for a metal audience. But, this is still awesome.
  15. After mutliple delays, covid and other, finally, Judas Priest tonight at Foxwoods!!!
  16. Anyone have any maps of this that they can post?
  17. First weekend living in my West Roxbury Apartment. Unreal waking up to this.
