    We had 20mins of light rain today. A huge flock of birds sat on my porch railing to enjoy the drips coming down from the porch above mine...getting pretty desperate for rain here. The ridge sets up shop over central TN again and we bake...highs starting thurs and beyond pushing 100 again...this pattern seems to be locked in through mid october...

    Im wondering what contour Nashville gets? It's so cute the way they talk about snow down here. They can't really picture more than a dusting But, then again, I have no idea what it's like to have my entire town flooded by a river

    This HP centered over TN has been relentless. We havent had rain in so long, the vegetation is severely wilted, the ground has been baked dry and big cracks are forming, the trees are losing their leaves due to drought and heat stress. We just keep baking under 100 degree heat. Such a turn around from all the river flooding that was ongoing when i first moved here in March

    You all need to come hang out under the HP that is firmly entrenched over TN/AL. It's like a forcefield. Any coldfronts that try to sweep through the area come to a screeching halt and The south is just baking. The forecast going out to two weeks is just ridiculously hot down here...mid 90s as far as the eye can see

    Currently 650pm and my heat index is holding steady at 100. Had a high of 99 on mon or tues, today we hit 98...puts our heat index 105-107
