  1. That line has diminished but it is just getting. I've turned off the lights and I am watching the lightning
  2. Any signs of the 540 line on future model runs? The first frost up here seems like it will be late this year.
  3. The foliage is 100% primed and ready to go. The minute we get the first frost, it's off to the races. I'm guessing chlorophyll lifespan has a lot to do with sun angle. It has been wet and warm, but the chlorophyll has been steadily fading.
  4. I really enjoy the changing seasons. I'm glad to be moving away from the heat and humidity. I think I would really love winter if it had the same amount of daylight hrs as summer. The long darkness of winter is the one thing that I struggle with.
  5. Canada geese are migrating, so are the humming birds
  6. Summer's back is broken. Leaves are fading, first splashes of color appearing... I did not get a chance to do any summer activities. Sigh...
  7. The leaves are changing. Noticed the first patches of color on July 30th. At first I just thought it was weak/sick trees...but I've been watching the patches for a week, and they keep expanding and new ones have popped up. Seems to be mainly red maples and birches
  8. Only light rain from Lincoln NH north past the Notch. I went to the Plymouth, NH Walmart around 7pm. Wicked heavy rain. On my drive back, flash flood warnings going off over the radio for southern and central NH. That was 3hrs ago.
  9. The sun usually comes out for 20minutes during sunset...then the next morning it is either cloudy, or cloudy with rain...lovely pattern
  10. Look at you guys...just chatting away about snow even as we approach the Summer Solstice Bless your icy hearts
  11. The forcefield is firmly in place...not a drop of rain
  12. Yeah, that fell apart for my area super fast. Looked so promising on radar at 5am. We def need some rain up here
  13. My dad called all excited a few weeks ago- a wild turkey made a nest and laid eggs in my parents front yard. Yesterday my dad called to tell me that he and my mom watched as momma turkey left the nest with all her babies (11). They said all the eggs hatched. My parents were so excited to have that experience!
  14. This is the time of year where I'm checking the radar every hour to see if any storms popped
  15. Weather, sci-fi, aliens...my 3 most favorite topics. I love you guys! I've been saying to myself for months now, I really wish I had a good book to read. Only have time to read before bed. And then I have some seriously fooked up dreams...
  16. Last year was my first summer here. I was surprised at how warm it can get considering the elevation. We had a stretch where it wouldn't even cool down at night.
  17. Over under on 90 degrees for NNE?
  18. Gonna need to break the down jacket back out. I remember 2013. I was working for the DCR in Worcester. One of my coworkers always coordinated a camping weekend in the White Mtns, Memorial Day Weekend. She invited me, and I declined. They all got snowed on and froze their drunk a$$es off...
  19. Well this is just horribly shocking and tragic news. Peace and love to his family and friends. I hope he is blizzard chasing and gets buried by a 7foot monster Nor Easter. The forums will certainly be different come winter.
  20. Sooo...less than a month until we start losing daylight again
  21. Last night I had the heat on. Tonight when I got home from work, I ran the AC for a bit. We got pretty toasty hear today. I want to say 85, or 86 degrees? Same thing last year, I went from Heat to AC. Never got a chance to just have my windows open and everything turned off. Granted, I only ran the AC for about 8 minutes to take the warmth off the air., and I now have the windows open. I CAN NOT sleep if the room temp is above 68 degrees.
  22. Last 2 days have been magnificent! The leaves are growing now, for sure! FB memory post said May18 of last year I called Leaf out. I thought we were going to go early this year- end of March first half of April was warm and things started growing. Then we went back to being cold and not a lot of sun and everything took a siesta. Yesterday and today woke everything up!
