  1. ^^^This^^^, the 1/2 to 2 inches of rain falling in 30 minutes IS moisture, just 75-90% runs right off into gutters, curbs and creeks! That said, I'd take those 30 minutes after past week, where it thunders for an hour each afternoon then the deck barely gets wet.........

  4. Yeah, ya'll got blanked the rest of the winter basically. I had a few more snows and finished right at 35" for the year, about 8 inches above normal.
  5. Same here. Getting ready for work calling for 3-5, they (NWS) upped it on forecast to 6-10 as I left the house at 7 am. Got home that night (after an hour + drive that normally is 10 minutes) after 8 pm to 20.5"!
  6. Topped out at 91.5 degrees here yesterday, 2nd warmest day of the year and first +90 since 7/21. Currently 66.0/64.8. Had about an hour of thunder between 4-5 pm, managed a huge 0.02 in gauge lol.

  14. My numbers for July.... Averaged high was 84.9 degrees vs a normal of 84.7 degrees, a +0.2 above normal. The warmest temp was 91.6 degrees on the 21st. Averaged low for the month was 61.3 degrees vs a normal of 61.5 degrees, a -0.2 degrees below normal. The lowest temp was 53.3 degrees on the 26th. Overall temp for the month was 73.1 degrees, which is exactly even with normal of 73.1 degrees! Total rainfall for the month was 4.78 inches vs normal of 4.01 inches, a +0.77 above normal. Wettest day was the 9th with 1.49 inches falling. There were 15 days with measurable, 3 days with a 'T' and 13 dry days. Highest wind recorded for the month was 30 mph on the 22nd. One new record for the month, the 1.49 inches of rainfall on the 9th setting daily record.

  16. LOL, between the sprinkles yesterday morning and the two thundershowers in early then late afternoon, I ended up with 0.13. Guess that is better than nothing.
  17. The 0.01 that fell this am just before I emptied the CoCoRaHS gauge at 7 am was first measurable in 6 days. Working on a second thundershower right now, first one about 90 minutes ago dropped 0.10.

  21. An awesome 24 hours! 71.4 high yesterday with a 55.4 low this morning. I'll take this until Labor Day please. 0.83 for a two day storm total.
  22. I've noticed the same here, 5-10% short in the weather station. This am, 0.70 CoCoRaHs vs 0.65 weather station.
  23. What a difference 24 hours can make. Although quite muggy, topped at 78.0 degrees with clouds yesterday before showers rolled in around 3 pm, 60.6/59.8 with rain continuing to fall this morning. So MUCH better!
  24. 2nd day in 90's here, high was 91.6 degrees, record 96 from 1983. Low was close, 69.2 degrees, record 69.9 from 2015.
