  1. Actually looking at this, looks like Roanoke, VA???
  2. About .30 so far here since 7am. Temps holding at 40.
  3. I have not had a dry day since 3/12 here.......
  4. Stay hydrated my friend!!

  6. There once was a man from Nantucket...
  7. DCA +3.1 NYC +2.9 BOS +2.7 ORD +3.1 ATL +2.2 IAD +1.8 DEN +0.8 PHX +0.7 SEA -0.2
  8. Thanks! Not gonna lie, it took a bit to conquer that last 500 foot elevation lol!
  9. I'd definitely pick an actual XC place as opposed to just taking off for the mountains. Summit county and surrounding areas have had 6-9 FEET of snow this month, I am sure the avalanche danger is quite high. On plus side to that Arapohoe is already talking about a closing AFTER July 4th again.
  10. Truth!! I am out seeing son 25-35 days a year since he moved out there. I can tell a small difference after 10-14 days up that high to coming back east. Only time I ever 'felt bad' from the elevation was the year we climbed Quandary (14000+) on the 2nd day after I arrived. Made it but had to take several breaks last 500-800 of vertical.
  11. Awesome dude! Enjoy your break from the reaping, you deserve it!
  12. Least it looks and feels like winter.......
  13. I'm not picky, I'd settle for either lol
  14. Visibility is finally starting to increase here this am, less than 200 feet earlier!! FOGGY
  15. Well, I have flakes drifting down. Least not a 100% shutout from the dry air.....
  16. Would it surprise anyone if I mentioned it is raining again?
  17. Anywhere along the spine of the Apps will work, from SW PA down thru Davis to Snowshoe and Duo/Quinwood WV.
  18. Sitting at 3.7 inches for the season here, least I have beat the disaster that was 90/91 when only 3.2 inches fell. Still have some climbing to get out of the bottom 5 90/91 3.2 16/17 6.4 01/02 6.7 00/01 8.2 07/08 11.4
  19. Since 2-1 rainfall 3.54 inches, snowfall 0.2 inches Since 1-1 rainfall 6.98 inches, snowfall 3.2 inches. About twice the rainfall above average, under a third of average snowfall. Sad.
  20. Set a new record warm minimum this am, 35.8 degrees, which beats 2009's 34.5 degree reading. Records go back to Oct 1979. 0.85 of rain past 24 hours
  21. Another wet and cloudy/cool day. 'wedge' feel to it. Just hit 40 degrees with a moderate rain falling. Just a hair over .25 in the gauge since 7 am. Another fail from NWS, which has updated forecast to steady rain and a 43 high after a 7 am forecast of 53 and showers in afternoon.
  22. Bend was second on my son's short list. He picked Breck over it for the fact that there were more ski resorts in the immediate area. He has been to the area twice though, and said it is a nice place.
  23. Because it is 'normal'?? The average for March is 55/28 here, and 90% of the 'warmth' happens the last 5/6 days of the month if you look at the overall averages for the month. The 1st 3 weeks run 50/25 to 55/30 and last week is in the 60/62 over 32 range.
