  1. AGAIN! DCA: +1.9 NYC: +1.8 BOS: +1.1 ORD: +2.2 ATL: +1.4 IAH: +0.9 DEN: +1.4 PHX: +0.7 SEA: -1.0
  2. So you have orographic lift on the backside?
  3. UGH... After a week enjoying 60's and 70's with low humidity in Colorado mountains this is U G L Y.
  4. Been gone on vacation (yes you can still pull that off) anyway, happy late birthday to both stormtracker and mappy! Hope they were awesome!!
  5. lol, true. I buy 1/4 beef off a local guy, he only raises 7 or 8 head a year. He only grass feeds with occasional grain when necessary. No hormones or junk like that, a Mennonite family cuts up/butchers each year. Used to do 1/2 back when wife was alive and the son was still home. I only eat chicken/pork when out due to that.
  6. 100% correct again! Yep, that had an everlasting effect on me!
  7. Just for giggles looked to see where I stood on all this rainfall. Currently the 7.48 for the month sits in 4th place for June, and there are 12 days to go..... Records it is chasing after, 2016's 9.59 inches, 2013's 8.88 inches and 1995's 8.58 inches. My records go back to October 1979.
  8. I have a 'rotation', usually lasts me 5 days or so each time I fix one. Chili, meatloaf, pot roast (then veggie soup with the leftovers), grill hamburgers (charcoal only), baked spaghetti. I finish up the baked spaghetti today. Now I'll wait and see who notices anything about that rotation....
  9. Oh, the 'ol rinse and repeat setting up. I've already had two in the last 4 weeks here......
  10. ^^^I'm still willing to share....lol! I have PLENTY to spare. ^^^ EDIT- dang it! I just looked out and it has started to lightly rain AGAIN! sheesh
  11. Two more records in the books, the 63.7 high was another 'cool max' and the 2.99 inches of rain tripled the previous mark of 0.92 from 2000. I think the Carolinas and southern VA are ready for a break after the past month...... I have 5.81 in the last 5 days event total now, 7.48 for the month.
  12. Just dumped the gauge to report to NWS when I got home at 11, 2.78 inches since 7 am. Water was running 6-10 inches deep on the bottom street when I turned to come up the hill. County under a FFW until early morning hours. AND we were the lucky ones, much more fell to my south today.
  13. I have +-.90 in rain gauge since 7 am, and it is POURING, 1/2 of that has fell in last 45 minutes. I'm gonna add up what has fell since Saturday afternoon, BRB....... Back, 3.79 (and increasing rapidly) since Saturday evening here, almost 5.5 inches for the month. 0.97/.98 in gauge now
  14. OK, we can cut the spigot off up there any time now.....thanks! SHEESH!!!
  15. Another record into the books this morning. High was 63.1 degrees, breaks 2003's 'cool max' 68.0 mark. Another 0.65 in the gauge at 7 am. Still raining.....
  16. We MAY see/break 70 by Friday or Saturday at the rate the upper low has slowed and now moving back towards us lol....
  17. Another record 'cool max', this one pretty impressive. High was 61.6 degrees, old mark from 2007 was 68.5 degrees, almost a full 7 degree difference! Added .34 to the monthly total, almost at 4.00 inches for the month, right at 3.00 inches of that has fell in last 7 days.
  18. After about an 8 hour break, the rain has pinwheeled back in again. Looks like another soaker afternoon/evening on tap.
  19. Could I share some with you? Sheesh. The 'haves' and 'have nots' for sure.
  20. OK, two new records this morning. The 68.4 high is a new record 'cool max', beating 2007's 69.5. And the 1.52 inches of rain breaks 1998's 0.80 mark, actually almost doubles it. Currently 54.3/53.5 and cloudy. EDIT- running a little over a +10 inches on rainfall to date now.
  21. OK, who turned on the fire hose and left it?!? DANG!! Wet, wet, wet!
  22. I'll up that to .04 for ya.
  23. High 76.8, low 51.7. Clouded over shortly after lunch yesterday and showers in afternoon. A couple were heavy, and picked up .31 in the gauge. Cloudy with some fog and 54.3/52.7 currently.
