  1. Another 0.73 inches, a 'cheapy' new daily rainfall, as for some reason the 16th hasn't had much here in last 40 years. Old mark was 0.68 from 1998. Also set new 'cool minimum' with a 68.3 degree high, old mark was 72.0 from 1992 and 2013. Right at 5 inches for the month now.
  2. Month so far....12 of 15 days with measurable, a T and 2 dry....sheesh. 4.25 for month and 2.84 last two, which were new daily records each, 2.02 for 14th and 0.82 for 15th.
  3. Caps currently in same spot in playoffs as my Blackhawks, but came in with COMPLETELY different expectations.....
  4. Careful! That IS a bold prediction!
  5. Looks like another stellar year is already forming....
  6. First day in 11 without measurable here.
  7. Kudos for NOT slantsticking....
  8. Just started raining harder here in last 10 minutes after what seemed like two hours of Garth Brooks rolling thunder...
  9. My numbers for the month of July 2020... Averaged high was 87.6 degrees vs a normal of 84.7 degrees, a +2.9 above average. Highest temp was 93.0 degrees on the 21st. Averaged low was 64.4 degrees vs a normal of 61.5 degrees, a +2.9 above average. Lowest temp was 58.9 degrees on the 14th. Overall average temp was 76.0 degrees vs a normal of 73.1 degrees, again, a +2.9 above normal, and also the 5th warmest July on record. Total rainfall was 4.85 inches vs a normal of 4.01 inches, a +0.84 above average. The wettest day was the 23rd when 2.05 inches fell. There were 10 days with measurable, 3 days with a 'T' and 18 dry days. A 'T' was recorded on the snow front, due to hail falling on the 6th. Highest wind recorded for the month was 28 mph, also on the 6th. Overall a warm and dry month, with 3.77 inches of the 4.85 inches of rainfall occurring on two days, 1.72 on the 6th and 2.05 on the 23rd. Only record for the month was the 2.05 inches of rain on the 23rd, new daily record. Records kept since Oct 1979.

  12. Good, hope everything goes well! That is a question we have to answer each day to get into the plant (before the temp thing) I told them one day last week that I thought my taste had gone down as I heard a Bieber song and almost liked it on the way into work....
  13. I liked the first name much better! lol
  14. So...Roanoke finally had a below 90 high today (89 lol), so that stops the streak at 29 consecutive 90 or above days. That is the new record, breaking 1966's 22 days in a row by a good bit.
  15. That is always the way I react to attending a funeral too, immediately hitting the strip clubs.....
  16. Set a new daily rainfall record with 2.05 inches, all falling in two separate Tstorms about 2 hours apart yesterday evening. Old mark was 1.29 from 1980. So, for the month I am now at 3.92 inches, BUT 1.72 fell on 6th and 2.05 on 23rd. Rest of the month has been dry, dry, dry.
  17. I had rolling thunder from 3:30-8:00 pm yesterday, and received a massive T. The roads didn't even get completely wet. At least 4 storms skirted by in about every direction.
  18. Well, being that it currently is 7/17 in this time zone.....this MAY prove to be false
  19. Third 50's low in a row, albeit, much like the DC current heat streak, weak. 59.8.
  20. possibility of accuracy 85%
  21. MUCH nicer morning here, upper 50's and dews in the 50's....thankfully. I'll enjoy it while it is here.
