  1. LOL, 33.5/32.6 and rain here, just west of Beckley has a tornado warning currently and in mid 50's.
  2. Currently 33.0/32.2, overnight low was 31.4. Trees and other elevated have ice on them. The 'fun' stuff was the thunder and lightning between 4 and 6:30 this morning with heavy rain at 32 degrees. The 1.35 emptied out of the CoCoRaHS gauge at 7 am goes into 2nd wettest Feb 6th, only behind the 1.66 melted of sleet and snow from 2010.
  3. WOW! That was a rocker! Still T&L here, 20 plus minutes now.
  4. Interesting. Lightning and thunder with heavy rain at 31.7/30.8, woke me up.
  5. Currently right at 32.0/30.3 and light (freezing?) rain at 12:35 am. I don't see any ice forming yet, but have dropped a degree in last hour, it will be close.
  6. Better question 'how do you get the control to come true?' lol
  7. High was 59.5 at 11:50 am, been slowly falling since on gusty NW winds. Streak continues, last +60 was 12/10/24. Currently 52.1/30.3 at 4 pm.
  8. So all the 'warmth' upstairs managed to make it down into the valleys and everyone is in the 50-58 range here. Currently 55.8/42.7 and cloudy here.
  9. Crazy wild temp spreads across my area ATM. Currently 38.4/30.3 here at 10:45 pm 1340 ft elevation. 52 up at the airport (3700 ft), 51 at another spot above 3500 ft and 35 at 1600 in a sheltered valley spot and 28 in another sheltered valley spot around 2200 foot.
  10. Well, we did finally clear out around 4 pm and soared up to 57.7 before it started back down, I'll give them a C+
  11. NWS Blacksburg hanging tight to the 62 and mostly sunny, although it is still mostly cloudy to cloudy ATM here.
  12. ^^ Same here, 45.3/39.0 at 1:15 pm here, NWS calling for 62?? ^^

  14. Currently 28.5/19.5 and cloudy at 8 am. Low was 24.8 around 4 am, temps climbed once the clouds filled in.
  15. 47.0 for the high, low is current temp at 28.3/22.0 at 9:30 pm.
  16. Set a daily rainfall record with 0.99 inches. Old mark was 0.94 inches from 1985. The total from two day event was 1.65 inches. Rivers and creeks just cresting. Snow is basically gone, only in places shoveled/plowed.
  17. DCA: +1.5 NYC: +0.6 BOS: +0.2 ORD: +0.5 ATL: +2.1 IAH: +1.1 DEN: +0.7 PHX: +0.3 SEA: -1.2
  18. Sometimes it JUST ISN'T NWS's day. Forecast for today yesterday was rain and 55, cooler Saturday (51) before warming back into the upper 50's S, M and T. I have warmed a few degrees, currently 43.4/42.2 with rain. There is NO WAY barring a miracle I'm getting into mid 50's today before that front moves thru later this afternoon/evening lol. Oh, I glanced at forecast before I hit send, now 46 for a high, 47 tomorrow and 38 Sunday. Sheesh.
  19. Update- around 1/2 in gauge now, temp has gone down a hair to 38.6/38.0. Little brooks/ditches are full and running fast, and the snow facing north and shaded is retreating. Around a quarter to 3/10ths rainfall per hour rates. Too bad it wasn't about 5 degrees colder.... Update of update, just elevated from Flood watch to Flood warning from NWS Blacksburg.
  20. Had 0.67 in gauge when doing CoCoRaHS report this morning at 7 am. That will get me closer to 3 inches for the month. Already another 1/4 inch or so from what I can tell looking out the window. Currently 38.9/38.2 with fairly heavy rain and fog.
  21. 28.2 for a low here.
