  1. You know, all in all THIS (the snideness and bickering over IMBY analysis) is SO much better than the previous 2 years. Someone is gonna get a great snow, MOST are gonna see the first decent snow in years and some are gonna get some ice. But at least there is SOMETHING to discuss and watch, with maybe more ahead.
  2. I'm still a day out, models this set of runs have jackpot running from PA/MD line down to south-central VA. Some models do things better than others, we shall know better tomorrow. It is a fun and frustrating game, as always lol.
  3. I'll have to go record check, but the year we got 7 inches of pure sleet was ridiculous.
  4. Looks like 36.4 will be the high today. Down to 33.0/16.7 currently at 5:30.
  5. A VERY small fall-off for the extreme north (but more area covered) and a minuscule increase in the far south. 99% noise.
  6. Currently a degree colder (37.2/25.3) at 12:30 pm than at the 7 am CoCoRaHS report (38.2/29.5) with a NW wind at 11 gusting 24, feels like winter has returned.
  7. So last couple model runs have majority of sub-forum in a 3-8+ range. I like.
  8. That is true for everyone. A north or south shift making some happy and some sad. Snow IS a IMBY thing.
  9. Winds back to howling W at 25-30 mph here in last hour.
  10. Exactly. A look like this robs 60% of the forum of snow. MAYBE some ice/sleet to rain, not snow. And one more 'flick' like this and it goes to 80-85% of the group. You want south to be snow and for it to ride up, not west to east.
  11. As was mentioned a sec ago, be careful what you wish for. Amped turns and presto your snow is sleet to rain
  12. Roger, If you need some help at times, I'd be willing to help. Just give a holler (DM). Appreciate all the time you've put into this all these years!
  13. Last 'powdery/dry' snow I remember was 3/3/16. 5 inches on the money with 0.24 liquid. About a 21-1 ratio.
  14. Well, I'm basically 'jackpotted' with this (between the 16.0 and 17.8) so NOT a final solution, lol. It'll drift back and forth, and I'm fine with that, long as the storm in general hangs in the area.
  15. Looks 5-6ish here. I'll take and be super happy after these past couple of years.
  16. Nice line has formed from Parkersburg down to almost Beckley WV heading ENE. Had a gusty shower roll thru here in last 30 minutes, only a 29 mph gust.
  17. Gusty SSE breezes around 25-28 mph in last couple of hours. Currently 49.8/43.6 and mostly cloudy.
  18. Roanoke is at -2.0 with a day to go on 18 neg days. Back on the 7th they were -13 for the month.
