  1. Yep, Matthews had several great chances to finish it in OT, not to be.
  2. High was 23.5 degrees, currently 17.1/3.0 at 6 pm. Winds have been howling this afternoon, had a 41 gust earlier. NW 17 G31 currently making WC 2/-3. Lots of blowing and drifting of snow this afternoon.
  3. Came thru here earlier, picked up 0.5 in 20-25 minutes. Had 2.0 on board at 7 am CoCoRaHS (and cleaned), looks like another 0.2 or so fell after I swiped, add the 0.7 from yesterday morning and storm total going to be 2.9. Have 2 to 3 inches in the yard and driveway. Currently 18.5/14.0.

  5. LOL, sun poking out and snowing almost as hard as all day. Devil beating the wife and girlfriend??
  6. Decent rate last hour or so, just under 2 inches so far. Looking at radar, maybe another hour then she's done.
  7. Since 7 am I've picked up 0.5 on the snowboard, there is 1.2 OTG now. Back to pixie dust sized flakes after about 20-25 minutes of decent sized flakes. Temp has locked, currently 21.1/19.7.
  8. 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 02/11: 0.6 02/12: 15.9 02/17: 0.2 02/19: 0.7 Total: 28.2
  9. Yep, the flake size has about tripled in last 30-40 minutes here, bit over an inch so far.
  10. Should easily be 12-15 to 1 ratios with this storm with temps in low to mid 20's.
  11. Yes, but not that hard. Almost an inch so far at 7 am, started around 5. Currently 20.9/19.0.
  12. LOL, I am inside the 6, NOT happening. MAYBE 3, 4 max.
  13. Up to 27.8/13.4 at 10:30 am after a 19.3 low.
  14. It may not be a classic Miller B Bob, but it SURE is showing a classic Miller B snow pattern out this way.
  15. I'd have to go back to the 1st (2nd?) thread of this storm, but I mentioned Miller B (and screw job) like the first runs after the 20" went away.
  16. Yep, been on both ends of that. Last storm was the pillows, but on a different type of set-up. Over half-dollar sized flakes fell for close to two hours, 5 inches plus. Just 15-20 miles south they were in sleet.
  17. JUST crept over 20 that season here, 20.3.
  18. Well, VDOT agrees. I drove to C'ville and back (Costco trip) and I-64 was brined this morning from here to there and back lol.
  19. Well, the area does include those folks currently, so no. HOWEVER, I am not unopposed to the suggestion. Only problem would be this spot would lose 20% of the posters and the new one wouldn't have enough to keep it lively and interesting. Snow (yes, because snow IS a IMBY thing) brings out the best and worst in people, rarely do rain/wind/heat events bring out the passion that snow does.
  20. 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 02/11: 0.6 02/12: 15.9 02/17: 0.2 Total: 27.5
  21. Snow flurries and showers off and on overnight, hard to accumulate in the 30-45 mph winds (corners and around objects held it well, lol), but finally got enough of a break on winds to record a 0.2 around midnight. All the snow from earlier is gone except for north facing where maybe an inch has survived, rest of yard/property just has the wind-blown mess from overnight. Currently 23.1/11.5 and mostly cloudy.
  22. Still has that classic Miller B look out this way, just shifted ENE (maybe EENE) instead of NE once low gets cranking off coast.
  23. LOL, starting to snow/flurry here and 33.3/24.9. Absolutely howling winds at times today, a 52 mph gust earlier. 90% of the snow melted off late this morning/early afternoon with the rain and gusty winds and 49.7 high. Now I guess we at least turn white again.... Luckily haven't lost power, DID lose a lawn/porch swing to the wind, picked it up and over the deck rail to its demise 10 foot below.
