  1. 30.7/25.5 this morning at 7 am, 57.4 for a high yesterday with light S/SW winds and sunny skies. All the snow is gone off the property minus two small patches that drifted the deepest and plowed areas. Still can see snow on the mountain just to my south (their N facing) and we traveled the back road to Roanoke yesterday, many shaded and N facing spots up in mountains still had a solid 3-6 inches on the ground, once we topped and started back down all the south facing was bare.
  2. Already 39.2/21.6 at 10:20 after a 22.3 low here.
  3. 13 away, he'll likely get there before the season is over. I think the Caps have 24 or 25 games left this season.
  4. New record low for the date of 9.3 degrees occurred around 8:15 yesterday morning, old record for the date 15 degrees from 1999. Currently 32.0/18.8 at 9:40 am.
  5. All I'd like is a nice 3-4 inch snow across DCA/IAD and BWI
  6. *Glances at his 8.00 of liquid and 19.7 inches of snow for Feb along with 2.71/10.4 for Jan and realizes just how much a difference weather is in the Mid-Atlantic forum....*
  7. Set a new record low this morning of 7.0 degrees, old mark was 10 from 1988. Temp (and DP) dropped like a rock between 1 and 4 am before starting back up a bit. Currently 10.3/7.8 at 8:30 with clear skies. Still about an inch of snow (likely helped temp drop along with calm winds) on ground in most places. Drifts are compacted down to 5 or so and about 20-30% is open.
  8. And again 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 02/11: 0.6 02/12: 15.9 02/17: 0.2 02/19: 0.7 02/20: 2.0 02/21: 0.2 Total: 30.3 Edit- somewhere along the way 'math is hard' got in the way, corrected.
  9. Currently 18.0/8.3 after a low of 16.3 just before midnight. Temp steadied and rose a degree or two after that. Took 8 measurements to get a OTG and SWE this morning, amazing what the wind can do with 2-3 inches of snow. I have places almost a foot deep and some with almost bare ground. Highest wind was the 41 gust at 1:45 pm, but plenty in the 35-40 range. Still NW at 7 gusting to 18 currently.
  10. Yep, Matthews had several great chances to finish it in OT, not to be.
  11. High was 23.5 degrees, currently 17.1/3.0 at 6 pm. Winds have been howling this afternoon, had a 41 gust earlier. NW 17 G31 currently making WC 2/-3. Lots of blowing and drifting of snow this afternoon.
  12. Came thru here earlier, picked up 0.5 in 20-25 minutes. Had 2.0 on board at 7 am CoCoRaHS (and cleaned), looks like another 0.2 or so fell after I swiped, add the 0.7 from yesterday morning and storm total going to be 2.9. Have 2 to 3 inches in the yard and driveway. Currently 18.5/14.0.
  13. 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 02/11: 0.6 02/12: 15.9 02/17: 0.2 02/19: 0.7 02/20 2.0 Total: 30.2
  14. LOL, sun poking out and snowing almost as hard as all day. Devil beating the wife and girlfriend??
  15. Decent rate last hour or so, just under 2 inches so far. Looking at radar, maybe another hour then she's done.
  16. Since 7 am I've picked up 0.5 on the snowboard, there is 1.2 OTG now. Back to pixie dust sized flakes after about 20-25 minutes of decent sized flakes. Temp has locked, currently 21.1/19.7.
  17. 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 02/11: 0.6 02/12: 15.9 02/17: 0.2 02/19: 0.7 Total: 28.2
  18. Yep, the flake size has about tripled in last 30-40 minutes here, bit over an inch so far.
  19. Should easily be 12-15 to 1 ratios with this storm with temps in low to mid 20's.
  20. Yes, but not that hard. Almost an inch so far at 7 am, started around 5. Currently 20.9/19.0.
  21. LOL, I am inside the 6, NOT happening. MAYBE 3, 4 max.
  22. Up to 27.8/13.4 at 10:30 am after a 19.3 low.
  23. It may not be a classic Miller B Bob, but it SURE is showing a classic Miller B snow pattern out this way.
  24. I'd have to go back to the 1st (2nd?) thread of this storm, but I mentioned Miller B (and screw job) like the first runs after the 20" went away.
