  1. I-64 at Low Moor exit (21), about 3 miles away from me. Caved bigtime.
  2. Snowing at well over an inch an hour here now, right at 2 inches.
  3. Goshen? Rockbridge Baths? Rt 39 is a beautiful drive between Lexington and state line.
  4. Getting pretty good at snow guesses, lol. At 7 am we had 0.6 on the snowboard. Currently at 7:30 it is snowing hard and 28.9/26.5. I'd guess another 0.5 since I've cleared the board at 7.
  5. Currently mod snow and 29.1/23.4 at 6:45 am here. Looks like about 1/2 inch so far I'll know for sure in about 10 minutes when doing CoCoRaHS, started just before 6 am.
  6. GFS just won't let it go lol. Well, maybe further east it has pulled slightly north and why Wakefield is hesitant. If it holds??
  7. 30.0/16.5 at 10:10 pm here.
  8. I'm not sure that is a thing here now after the past 30-45 days. I've had 6.39 inches since 1/1. The nearby lake that was down 22 foot before Thanksgiving is overfull and they are doing big releases to get it back down to full pond.
  9. Down to 32.2/14.7 at 7:20 pm here with the almost full moon shining brightly, almost daylight-like.
  10. NWS Blacksburg decided to bite what the GFS has been showing, just upped my point and click forecast snow totals from 4-8 to 6-11... we shall see.
  11. The GFS seems determined last several runs to put the heaviest stripe from Lewisburg WV to Richmond (64 storm), NEVER a fan of being in bullseye until the last minute......
  12. Yep, my area went from like 7.2 to 7.0.....
  13. Amazing what a degree or two can do. When I woke this morning we had a slushy 0.1 of sleet/snow/freezing rain and 32 degrees which went to all rain by 7 am. 0.36 in gauge, another .5 since 7 am and almost 2 inches Thursday with marginal temps. Could easily be sitting on between 3-4 inches of sleet to 20 inches of snow. Oh well, the lot of Mid-Atlantic winters. We shall see what Monday/Tuesday brings.
  14. 'Pennying' along here...still, still 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 Total: 10.7
  15. LOL, it has been 6/7? years since the last 'get together' I attended, been a while even for that!
  16. Such a terrible, terrible problem to have ....
  17. About 4/10ths in gauge since 7 am, 1.75 since it started last night around 10 pm. Edit- had it been about 2-3 degrees colder....sheesh.
  18. Back to thunder and lightning here with pouring rain. Up to 34.6/33.5. All the signs of rapidly rising water evident, the little '90% of the year dry brook' at the back of property is running about a foot deep, water running off the hillsides.
  19. LOL, 33.5/32.6 and rain here, just west of Beckley has a tornado warning currently and in mid 50's.
  20. Currently 33.0/32.2, overnight low was 31.4. Trees and other elevated have ice on them. The 'fun' stuff was the thunder and lightning between 4 and 6:30 this morning with heavy rain at 32 degrees. The 1.35 emptied out of the CoCoRaHS gauge at 7 am goes into 2nd wettest Feb 6th, only behind the 1.66 melted of sleet and snow from 2010.
  21. WOW! That was a rocker! Still T&L here, 20 plus minutes now.
  22. Interesting. Lightning and thunder with heavy rain at 31.7/30.8, woke me up.
  23. Currently right at 32.0/30.3 and light (freezing?) rain at 12:35 am. I don't see any ice forming yet, but have dropped a degree in last hour, it will be close.
