  1. This morning Bob Maxon, a good local TV met here, mentioned something about Saharan dust abating...and lookout for lots of tropical activity soon. Can anyone add or subtract anything to that?
  2. Get a ladder and a long stick, and give it a whack. If they sting the crap out of you, it will be a great winter. If you escape unscathed...dead ratter.
  3. For the love of God, someone in CT please tell me you have had FROPA, please!
  4. Upon what are you basing this, weeklies? Not a hint of bake-age in the 10 day euro.
  5. Distant thunder and few drops of rain, but otherwise shut out....like facing Verlander on his best day.
  6. The next 10 days look great. No AC at night, long sleeve Ts in the morning...I wouldn't mind the depicted pattern this winter.
  7. the Jackie Bradley, Jr. era is over?
  8. Yup. It is already getting late much earlier now.
  9. And speaking of baseball, what the hell are the Yankees doing trading a solid middle-of-the-rotation starter for an injured outfielder with lowzy metrics? Maybe Montgomery was a clubhouse problem, or maybe he likes to whack in public....oops, wrong team.
  10. Completely random, but a cool pic.
  11. In Acton, ME, tonight. Just saw a nice Noctilucent in the western sky.
  12. Some sleet down here too. Interesting DP profile.
  13. 61 with a DP of 4! I don't recall a spread that large in CT, ever.
  14. I dunno. Nestor Cortes for the Yankees has been lights out throwing dead fish at batters. I think there is still a place for someone who can pitch.
  15. I don't know if you saw my edit - 26.5" for the season. What do you have?
  16. Do those warm advection snows over PA have a chance of reaching us?
  17. 1 freakin inch yesterday, 26.5" for the season. Might be the first ever seasonal loss to Sikorsky.
  18. The Weather Channel has used my last name for the name of this storm. Good Lord.
  19. Radar not matching the very light schnizzle. It is interesting to see the lake effect intersecting with the synoptic over NY and PA. I wonder what that is like under those bands?
  20. Is this similar to one of my all-time favorites...March 05? That was really a Great Plains-style blizzard....plunging temps, 4" of snow, 50mph gusts...a traffic disaster down here.
