  1. In the midst of this putrid severe weather year for most of the country, anecdotally, WI and MI seem to cashing in.
  2. I don't have a clue about what happened, but sorry to hear that you're not a mod anymore. I for one am thankful that you will still be posting, as you are one of the more educated, level-headed posters here. I've learned a ton from you over the years.
  3. Kind of a meaningless stat, but interesting to me, every day of August hit at least 80° at IND. Today was the first day it failed to reach 80 since 7/31.
  4. I'm willing to hold off until October on that.

Tonight Widespread haze before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

  10. President Reagan traveled to Fort Wayne to view the massive flooding that was occurring on March 16, 1982. A tornado touched down about 10 miles from Baer Field (now Ft Wayne International)10 minutes before Air Force One landed.
  11. The long term forecaster at IND this morning mentioned the possibility of a "strong" system in that timeframe. Made me look.
  12. I agree, but it is always differentiated as weather vs climate.
  13. "British Columbia’s chief coroner, Lisa Lapointe, said her office received reports of at least 486 “sudden and unexpected deaths” between Friday and 1 p.m. Wednesday. Normally, she said about 165 people would die in the province over a five-day period."
  14. Nine years ago today was this big dog. I'm sure Northern IN and Ohio posters have fond memories.
  15. Still just a wee bit of disagreement between models for the 4th.
  16. I have absolutely no problem with low to mid 70's on Independence Day.
