  1. That was a fantastic snowstorm and a great way to end the season in the nick of time. Super impressive given the fact it's the middle of March with this type of sun angle and the fact it was warm and sunny the previous day with some areas 60 degrees or higher. And that it all fell in 7 hours
  2. the snow is really blowing out there now. probably the most wind driven snow i've seen this winter
  3. basically need 35mph sustained winds i think to meet blizzard criteria. all the other criteria should already be met
  4. Rain only lasted for maybe 20 minutes before changing over to snow. I think it's still snow. At the rate I've seen it fall the roads will cave soon. Temp fell by almost 10 degrees in an hour lol
  5. Still 44 degrees here at 4:30 am but winds have definitely kicked up a ton
  6. thundersnow would be amazing. i think its been 6 or more years since we've had any here
  7. Yeah same. Depends on how much and how hard it snows. Pavement is definitely gonna lose a few inches for sure. If it wasn't 60 degrees today and having rain start off then we'd probably get more on pavement
  8. Yeah that's what they seem to be saying from what I've read
  9. So is the severe outlook even going to be a thing today? One of my weather apps is saying about there being a potential for severe thunderstorms today now lol Actually nevermind I took a look and we're in Slight risk
  10. Had some crazy wind out of nowhere with that line of storms moving through. Was also pouring heavily
  11. 60 at 1 am is pretty nice honestly. having the windows open while going to bed
  12. 53 here right now. Got the windows open and it feels amazing getting fresh air lol
  13. Huh the temp actually went up a degree here to 43 lol. I'm expecting it to drop anytime now not go back up
  14. 5 am and everything is sloshy outside. Ground was super wet but I'm guessing it's like that because the ground was kinda frozen and its harder for it to absorb all the rain. Also it being 38 degrees at 5 am feels so nice lol
  15. I still remember that storm pretty vividly. I think school was closed for a few days for me lol
  16. Been seeing some places predicting an above average February but I'm not really buying it honestly
  17. Been light snow here but the roads already caved Also the nice thing about this giant blizzard in new england is once it passes it's going to warm up here for a few days. Might get close to 50. I kinda need a few days break from the cold lol
  18. It finally changed over here. Was still raining when I went out at 5:45 and when I came back it was snowing finally
  19. I gotta drive a long way around 5:30 tomorrow morning right when the freezing rain starts. Not looking forward to it. Hopefully it starts later driving in that always makes me so nervous
  20. Looking at the radar there's already a narrow small swath over the entirety of cumberland already. Wouldn't that moisten this area up faster and have higher snowfall totals? There's not supposed to be any snow here until 7 pm I think. Seeing that makes me think the Nam might be right
  21. lmao of course that snowhole would be right over me...
  22. Hmm spread still seems out there but I'm still feeling good about our chances here
  23. Despite the gfs runs not looking that good I'm actually feeling kinda optimistic about this storm. Every other storm I've been skeptical about this season but this one seems like it might have something to it potentially.
  24. Hey here's some good evidence if you don't believe snow can stick on the ground after it's been really warm. Was 79 in Alabama and the snow rates were strong enough for it to stick and start accumulating lol
