    I noticed the 12z Ukie did something similar but didn’t leave enough energy with ULL to create anything… 18z icon kind of had same progression as well… Temps are gonna be an issue regardless. Looks like instead of diving into the trough the NS races ahead and you get the shortwave kind of pinned underneath everything Definite thread the needle… .

    Ok, so this is just one run, but we’ve seen miniature hints of this across other models. This would be a “make your own cold air” type event. Energy closes off while front of wave escapes east. Man, Can we get lucky one time?! .

    Uhhh….. major changes on 18z gfs. Looks like icon, stronger version of 12z euro .

    The big help would be if the NS piece doesn’t dive into trough like GFS but runs ahead like cmc .

    Taking this from my Philly forum. GFS showing some stratospheric help. Smarch upcoming? 3 weeks from the 12/13th would put us around the end of first week of March for normal effect range. .

    Yea for this system to work out as advertised we would probably need that lead wave to disrupt the flow and have the main one dig far enough S. Thing is there’s no blocking leading up to it so it will likely be more progressive then some models showing. Long shot, but ya never know .

    Nice change on 18z GEFS long range. Looks like PV diving SE with split flow out west. .

    Looks like 18z gfs forming NAO as well around Day 8-10 .

    Euro looks like it’s trying to form NAO as well, not like cmc yet, but you can see the beginning stages .

    Todays CMC also has NAO form day 8-10. Not sure if it’s legit yet because not really seeing the same signal on the ensembles yet. .

    Two runs in a row now have an Atlantic Block forming on LR GFS. Blip? Idk, but god we need something to change it up…. .

    Like iceman said it could just be a global blip run. We’ll know by around 1-2am. Precip should fill in around N VA by then, if it’s at our latitude then should get some snow .

    Anyone see latest GFS? Remember the precip we had today was just from the front. The actual accumulating snow chance was late tonight into tomorrow AM .

    Weeklies torch February from 11/12th onward. March 1 on there’s a little hint at colder air available, but pac pattern still looks meh. This is maybe the best pattern during the entire run that I could find…pretty much more of the same of what we’ve been dealing with Barring a miracle it’s shit the blinds time. .

    Winter is cooked. At least we have the Eagles. Maybe a chance in March, but that’s about it. Record breaking snowless winter. Can only go up from here next winter .
