    The 1888 blizzard had arctic temperatures. NYC was down to 6F at one point. The city started out as rain. Transitioning to freezing rain and then snow.

    If I recall correctly the 1888 snowstorm did a loop south of Eastern Long Island. That track makes sense with 21" of snow in NYC and temperatures in the single digits and a rain/snow mix in Boston and 10".
