    Im heading to Gore Mountain on Wednesday, haven't been there in 3 years.

    Nothing instills the fear of falling down like a lift with a loading carpet does. I don't like it at Berkshire East or on the GSE at Mount Snow. When I skied at Mount Snow on 11/18, the carpet had been removed.

    The handicapped parking is about 50' from the HSQ. That's ideal for me. It's paved and level. I agree with you on friendly customer service.

    Bromley received 25" of snow last week and nearly all of the trails were opened. The snow conditions were excellent with just a few areas of thin cover mainly in damp areas. No crowds with all lifts being ski on all day. The southern exposure at Bromley isn't an issue until Spring. My son and I where thinking of skiing at Mount Snow or Magic, but I was afraid of crowds. It was really odd to be skiing a mountain with about 75% natural cover in early December.

    Excellent skiing conditions at Bromley on Saturday with nearly all trails opened. Summit above the clouds part of the day.

    Im at Mount Snow currently and the conditions are mostly packed powder with a few areas of frozen granular. Full snowcover from Enfield to Mount Snow. Fall of yore.

    Here in Connecticut, Mohawk Mountain and Ski Sundown are both making snow. This is very early for Connecticut skiing.

    My son report's awful skiing conditions. Sheet ice, chunks of ice, water bars and low visibility with snowmaking. 45 minute wait for the GSE to open for downloading.

    I'm at Mount Snow currently and they are making snow TTB on Cascade and Canyon, Deer Run, Long John, Lauch Pad and Carintha. It's sunny and 28F at the base with gusty winds. There's about 2" of snowcover. My son is going skiing, I'm probably not. It's not TTB skiing right now, but Canyon may open later.

    Killington will have a 200 day season and should be at 200 day's just before daily operations stop in early May. Early start this year ensures that.

    Superstar trail elevation between 2,500' and 3,800' really helps.

    My post was made in jest. I probably have around 20 skier days in October. Gore could do skiing on the upper mountain and download on the gondola. Mount Snow could also do the same with skiing on the North-face and download on the Bluebird. They are going to announce an opening day today. I'm planning on taking my son there on Saturday. I'm not sure if I will ski as the trail offerings are a bit steep for me with MS.

    It will probably all melt away. At least icy conditions will be avoided.

    How is it dumb? Killington has been opening early since the mid 1960's, this isn't anything new. They are currently one of only 5 ski areas opened in the United States.

    They do alot more than a handful of skiers. This weekend will be packed.

    I really doubt that Killington will close anytime going forward. The Glades are high elevation and snowmaking looks possible late this weekend and next week as well. Killington opened on 10/25/16 and stayed opened from that point on.

    Mt Snow making snow on Cascade, Canyon, River Run and Freefall. Not opening this weekend.

    Snowmaking has started at Killington. Snow is being made in the glades on Rime and the Superstar headwall.

    Looks like snowmaking is possible tonight and tomorrow on Killington Peak. NWS has a low of 27F and a high tomorrow of 30F.

    I'm very confidant that there will be skiing in Vermont/Maine within the next week. Killington and Sunday River being the two places likely to make snow going forward.

    My understanding is that the nonprofit was not able to come up with enough funds to purchase Saddleback. Supposedly an interested party tryed to buy the area this summer. They wanted a tax break and where not able to get it.
