  1. The freeze conditions the last few nights brought out a final burst of color. Suffield:
  2. Minimal leaf loss around here from the storm, but near complete loss of Fall foliage color. I suspect there will be a second round of Fall foliage color with the Oaks in about 2 weeks.
  3. Leaf loss around here from the storm is about 25%. I'm waiting for the sun to come out to take some foliage pictures.
  4. Actually they are Sugar Maple's, my neighbors Silver Maple is just starting to turn gold. My neighborhood is late with Fall foliage.
  5. Mid mountain cam at Stratton, looks like the snow level is about 3'000 or so.
  6. Snowing at the Summit of Stratton Mountain right now, looks like about 2"
  7. Some foliage loss here, but my oak is gold in color and I still have a few Maple's that are fully leafed and green.
  8. I'm posting this picture for DIT, another shot of the farm field in Tolland:
  9. Berkshire East 10-13-18 and 10-16-19:
  10. Awesome Fall foliage color along Route 2, best I've seen in Massachusetts in a long time. Pictures don't do it justice.
  11. Thanks for the tip. In planning on driving up to Sugarloaf Mountain, perhaps a bit further. Hopefully it's not crazy crowded midweek.
  12. Most of my neighbor is still Summertime green and the foliage near the coast has 2 weeks to go until peak. The higher elevation spots are done after the storm.
  13. I'm off to the Pioneer Valley tommorow.
  14. That's part of the problem with Connecticut foliage. Good color in residential areas, or color in places where it's impossible to stop. + I'm handicapped and slow.
  15. That's the intersection of Route 30 and 74, really difficult to stop there and take a picture. No place safe to stop. Had to pull my car up over the curb.
  16. Did lots of driving around today through Coventry, Andover, Hebron, Glastonbury and Marlborough. Lots of peak foliage especially along Route 31 in Coventry and along Route 66. Picture order: Holbrook Pond Meshomastic Forest Hebron
  17. Some foliage pictures from today: Somers and Tolland
  18. It was variable, areas of peak color, areas with green foliage and bare areas in higher elevations. The rain and wind a few days ago stripped off some foliage. I was also in SW Massachusetts and the foliage along Route 23 was pretty colorful. The best and most consistent foliage color in two days of driving around was Stafford and Stafford Springs. Really vibrant colors. With a possible coastal storm next week, the foliage probably won't last much longer.
  19. Thanks for the information, I'm actually looking for orange, gold and yellow, those are my favorite foliage colors. I'm going back there tomorrow, today was spent driving around NW Connecticut.
  20. Stubborn grey skies yesterday, but some nice Fall color out there.
  21. I did the drive yesterday to Stafford Springs, really beautiful foliage color along 190 in Stafford and Stafford Springs. Primarily yellow and gold. Better fall color than in my travels in Vermont. I'd say it's peak in that location. Best foliage around here since 2016.
  22. Late day foliage picture from Somers, CT.
