  1. Light graupel started here about 5 minutes ago. 36F.
  2. Overcast here and 35F. Radar showing snow creeping northward.
  3. Ski Sundown in January of 2007, after about 1 1/2 months of absolute torch. Not a lot of snow, but enough to ski on. Shows the durability of Man-made snow. Enormous turn around in weather conditions starting in February. Huge amounts of snow at Sugarloaf in April, 100". 8
  4. No family left here, so I'm traveling to my sister's for Christmas and New Year, she's 200 miles away. Hopefully nothing crazy happens weather wise.
  5. Man-made snow is very dense and melt resistant. The snow being put down now is high in density and base building. Of greater concern is the high volume of gappers on limited opened terrain.
  6. If we do get snow before Christmas, I just hope grinch torch doesn't show up on Christmas Eve. Last year was terrible, snowcover vanished overnight.
  7. I'm going to pass on this get together, but I hope everyone who attends has fun
  8. Front coming through here with gusty winds and heavy rain. 45F.
  9. A bit of light snow fell earlier, but it's just overcast right now.
  10. Flurries falling right now but very small snowflakes.
  11. Radar virga here, just seems to dry to snow. Overcast and 29F.
  12. Usually the snow on the course has to have water injection to freeze the snow more solidly. Since snowmaking temperatures were so marginal, the snow had a very high moisture content and injection was not required.
  13. Actually, the new snow has to be scaped off because it's too soft, go figure.
  14. World Cup canceled at killington for today due to high winds and poor visibility.
  15. Killington reporting 19" of snow in the last 24 hours. That's the most I've seen.
  16. I guess not and the article states that if it doesn't snow in Denver in a measurable amount by November 30th, it would be the first snow less Fall season on record.
  17. I realize it's not local weather, but I mentioned this fact at the get together. Can't believe that the record still stands. Latest date for measurable snowfall in Denver, Colorado. https://www.9news.com/article/weather/weather-colorado/snow-denver/73-bea453be-bd65-4d3c-bca4-862d04d479f2
  18. Yes, but a bit expensive. I ate there on Father's Day with my son. Too dry here for much snow, overcast and 35F.
  19. Snowing in Palmer, Massachusetts and accumulating on all surfaces.
