  1. Tomorrow looks like record warmth. BDL record is 60F. NWS has the forecast at 64F here, north of BDL.
  2. I'm heading to my sister's house on Christmas Day. Her house is 1,470'. Probably higher elevation than most on the forum in the East.
  3. Was asking because next week is dry, 2 or 3 inches of snow probably won't last till Christmas.
  4. What are we hoping for, a few inches of snow? A week before Christmas and next week looks cold and dry. Fingers crossed for snow otg.
  5. Is there anything storm wise next week? I thought there was something early next week. The extended forecast I just looked at has next week dry and cold. https://www.theweather.com/southwood-acres.htm
  6. +1 I don't want that either. Give me snow, sleet or plain rain.
  7. That and I'm currently living alone waiting for disabled housing. I'm hoping to meet people next year. Grieving isn't easy alone. Luckily I see my son a few times a month. My dad's girlfriend was a manic depressive person who was also an alcoholic and smoked. It was really difficult to bring anyone over. I'm glad that part of my life is over.
  8. When I visited my uncle for Thanksgiving, he had iris in full bloom in the community garden. This is in Croton On Hudson, New York State.
  9. https://www.theweather.com/southwood-acres.htm Extended forecast for my location from a company called Meteored, never heard of them. No snow in the extended forecast and seasonably cold for Christmas Eve and day.
  10. It's my dad's birthday tomorrow, first one with him gone. Going to visit his grave tomorrow with my son. Haven't been there since the funeral. Trying really hard to keep my chin up.
  11. I went skiing with a friend at Mohawk Mountain after the storm ended. I remember snow banks higher than my car along Route 8 north of Waterbury. Knee deep powder on the slopes of Mohawk, but tough going.
  12. Front is through, wow what alot of rain. Looks like about 0.50" in 10 minutes. Temperature down to 54F.
  13. Front passing through here with very heavy rain and wind. No thunder.
  14. 60F here with the front about to pass through. Windy, but nothing very strong.
  15. 43F here now and really foggy. Overall a cold rainy nasty day.
  16. 40F here with dense fog. Look like a brief warm up into the 50's is upcoming.
  17. I went sledding in January of 1998 because Sugarloaf was closed due to the ice storm. The rental lady was so concerned for my safety, she gave me her satellite phone. A huge brick of a phone. I went to Bigelow Lodge, ducking under ice laden trees.
  18. No pack, but my neighbors yard has snow along the driveway from where they shoveled the snow. Still at 38F, torch phail.
  19. I'd be happy to have the amount of snow we had earlier this week on December 23rd.
