  1. if you want to have snowy winters from now many of us should consider moving either to the snow belts or northern newengland.. cause it won't be happening like it was the last 20 years in the city and surrounding areas ..
  2. you want brutal cold try 1994 in the midwest you wont see cold like that again barring some event like a super volcano eruption..
  3. remember when we in the city during the winter had many nights in the single digits those days have been gone for a decade or longer..

  10. those lows are typical of what you get in nyc in mid january...
  11. according to the tropical expert on the weather channel greg postel he said a hour ago the said the storm maxed out already and on satellite looks like it may be weakening shear dry air. etc etc..
  12. in 2005 we had 3 storms from late november into january so anything is possible..but not a cat 5 lol..
  13. according to the weather channel the pressure of zeta has come up to 990 which would indicate weakening while on radar it looks like it is strengthening hmm..
  14. it feels as muggy today as it did on hot summer days had to turn the a.c on...

  16. nice cooling for the southwest they need a break from the heat...
  17. well the shear weakened the storm considerably so the environment was not pristine..
  18. once it clears the yucatan it won't be in that cool pool of water if it went east of the yucatan it will spend more time into a warmer area in the gulf...
