I just looked at the soundings on GFS. Just for BOS it's snow to sleet eventually back to snow.

Yeah anything but ice. Rain is preferred over zr. I like not being a prisoner in my house and I really enjoy power.

That's 3-6 and good by futility on GFS for BOS.

GFS got a lot colder for the Pike region.

The system prior to 2/23 is also trending colder now. Bodes well for NNE I think l.

18z eps really thumps the pike region and north.

South of the pike it was sub par. I remember Max (Capecod04) complaining. Right on the pike including BOS did ok but 20 miles north was epic.

The BOS 1991-2020 30 year normal snow went up to 48 inches so for sure.

You’ll probably have both before your life is over but you may have to chase to the coast somewhere for the cat 3.

I’d like to see the ticks south continue for a few cycles knowing it will tick back for some wiggle room.

Some of us saw this coming days ago. We’ll see but it’s a feeling in my bones.

1996-97 was above normal after the April fools blizzard which is an all timer. However, leading up to it snow was sub par but nothing like recent ratters like 2001-02, 2011-12, and this season so far. There was a nice snow in early December-like 4-7 or something which was supposed to be rain. A few days later inland areas got nailed (cantore famous thundersnow shot in ORH). ORH got 14 inches. January was generally pretty cold and we did get 7 inches from a system that was supposed to miss us early in the month. I remember xc skiing that day in the Arboretum. February was an absolute torch mainly snowless but mid March on was cold and snowy. So that season is a bad example.

Must have elevation considering it’s high summer there.

The problem I when you’re old you need healthcare much more frequently. Resources are more limited in NNE. Unless you are in VT where it is more plentiful. Just go there as often as you can in summer and tell your so that the wx is great there all year.

Verbatim the euro gives us a healthy front ender, a pelting, then light snow/snizzle. I’d take that. Euro with a nice follow up event a few days later. Caveat I don’t have access to euro soundings so I’m guided by H7
