    Yup. The October snow thing is kind of tongue in cheek but it makes sense if you think about the rubber band snapping on some level. But our pattern flipped in mid October. 2002 analogue for 2002-03 winter to me works.

    It was pretty calm when I walked the dog around 10PM.

    Cold kind of wimped out. I got down to 29 but was expecting a few ticks colder.

    Interesting. BOS averages 11/7 but I bet my location is 10/25 or so...should easily achieve tonight but BOS will probably be closer to their normal.

    ORH with their first freeze today unlyiy happened earlier.

    My low was 34. Looking forward to first freeze tonight fairly early in the evening. Currently only 39 which is impressive with full sun at 11:15 AM on 10/18.

    Jeff, same happened here and I end up going to the main page and when my region is selected, click the appropriate link. I haven’t used PNS yet but use the climate link frequently. weather.gov

    I don’t think that’s an issue. 2001-02 and 2011-12 were part of multi year ninas. Especially 2011-12.

    It’s amazing how quickly 60 seems so warm! A month ago and we’d shiver with the same temperatures.

    Not sure how much CT was affected by the New Years event. May not have made it that far south and west.

    It was in January....within a few days of New Years.

    All the ensembles are sniffing a cool to cold pattern to start November. 2002 had a warmup around the 2nd week but that was fairly short lived.
