I was at Mammoth skiing about 30-35 years ago. Left LA with temperatures in the 80s in late February. A friend and I got a cheap motel room and I bought a small carton of milk for my am cereal. This was before the days of mini bars and refrigerators in rooms. I opened the window and figured I’d lay the carton in the snow. Unfortunately the pack had pulled away from the building. Not realizing this I drop the milk carton. It took a long time before I heard it hiit bottom...14 feet of snow!

I love the 80s referenced liberally this year. Anyone watch The Americans episodes? Takes place during the Reagan years and so classic 80s background. Filmed on a lot of snowy backdrops interestingly.

We’re heading to JFK to drop our daughter off Thursday. Plan is to return that night-wife has to work Friday-thankfully I planned the day off. Hoping it goes ok-daughter has a long international flight.
