  2. Walking the dog just now and I swear you can almost see partial flakes. Most similar to that Saturday morning in May 2002 but can’t remember exact dates...
  3. Tough trip-if the current score holds Mariners will be 1-7 for NY-BOS
  4. Lol....NAM pounds for a few hours pike region to the coast.
  5. Yesterday was mid 70s after a too cool for summer overnight. Spring yes but summer no.
  6. Highest temperature is 68 at this hour in lower CT
  7. Today? I’m low 60s. And tonight’s 45-50 would be record cold for summer in SNE.
  8. How do these temperatures equate to early summer outside of anchorage? I mean it’s a nice day but still far from summer.
  9. As an aside.......driving through Tolland Thursday early evening around 7:30 PM had the coldest temperatures in the car thermometer. Mid 40s which was a 30 degree drop from NYC. Temperatures oscillated within a few degrees of there all the way to Boston.
  10. Thanks Steve. We walked high line park on the west side of Manhattan near the Hudson River after having a great lunch. Temps in the mid 70s. We got back to Boston with my wife complaining about how cold it is....lol. Daughter says it feels not that cold....it was pretty chilly actually. Off today-at least it’s not raining...
  11. Later vs normal leaf out 2019 it strikes me...
  12. We’ll be driving down to NYC later...picking up our daughter at JFK tomorrow morning after her 3 months off the grid in Nepal. Probably will hang around the city all day tomorrow to delay the wx misery that will await us in Boston.
  13. You have low standards for summer wx......
  14. Man sometimes you can’t win. We were flying out of ohare last night and delayed by some decent tstorms. Late into BOS (1:30 AM) and then no Uber, no lyft, no cabs. Finally got to bed at 4. I will say landing lights captured heavy rain about 50 miles west of Boston. Looks like a serious rainer just ended when we got outdoors.
  15. Dare I say the worst of April chill is over? Then again I’m heading to ORD Thursday night where many areas received 6+ yesterday. Should be gone by my arrival.
  16. More like mid May. Early summer has to be warmer. But on 4/14 we take.
  17. I’ve got the cross breeze and hoping to avoid ac later. I think post sunset it will cool down to acceptable levels. Much cooler downstairs.
  18. Maps like that which often turns to reality is why I hate spring here....we wedge.
  19. I’ve been holding Roy back but for how long.....maybe 12z today.
  20. I’m at 59, bos 49. Glad I don’t live there...
  21. Nice temperatures for a few days. Couldn’t have asked for a better opening day narrative from my perspective...
