  1. Extremes are. But heat and humidity harkens back to my childhood so it triggers pleasant thoughts.
  2. BOS through yesterday is +6.3 for July with a mean of 79.6. We’ll knock that back some after today’s cheap midnight high but then ramp it back up weekend on through the end of the month. What’s the record for July?
  3. Were Logan’s numbers different from surrounding stations this past weekend?
  4. Preceding hot Saturday (purely from memory) was 98 for a high. But ridiculously hot minimums did the deed this past weekend. Sunday after hot Saturday was chilly following a back door dropping temperatures into the 60s mid day.
  5. Businessmen canceling meetings while searchIng for seersucker?
  6. Good luck with that.....although Wednesday and Thursday should be pleasant for most with the exception of us heat mongers.
  7. UHI enhanced on a west wind plays a big part in summer. KBOS at this moment is 79 while I sit at 74....doesn’t seem unusual considering I have some elevation and and am in a wooded area.
  8. Mid 80s weekend may be optimistic for heat haters....we’ll see. But yes we have a small window and hundy is uncommon which is why I love it. I’d feel the same way about colder than -5.
  9. It’s on Steve....we still have several weeks left to try to pull it off in a warm to hot pattern
  10. I think when the climo for July numbers update they will be amazing! Through yesterday BOS is +5.8. I have felt since the end of winter that heat would carry the day this summer and so far it has all across the NHEM.
  11. The ice melt doesn’t reach minimum until 9/10 or so.
  12. It’s official as of the time of that report. Of course it’s not official until midnight
  13. 98 is a nice consolation. Consecutive upper 90s days.
  14. BOS with a lowered dew and 280 wind....slim chance in the next 30-40 minutes
  15. BOS 97 at 4 pm with a 280 wind. I believe they’ve touched 98-99.
  16. Congratulations BDL. You stand above all tarmacs!
  17. BOS 94 at 1PM. We won’t see hundy but 98 would be a nice consolation prize
  18. Let’s put it in context. it was a hot and humid week save for Thursday. The biggest heat as forecast was Saturday and Sunday. 100 is really rare in New England
  19. I recognize that as have I seen that phenomenon. And maybe that one isn’t a clear example? Maybe the isothermal geographic days when everyone is snowing at 30 including all coastal locales and BOS is snowing at 32-33 is a better example
  20. Yeah it should be clear well before noon.
