People complain...sometimes it’s real, other times it’s tongue in cheek. Weather like life has its ups and downs. We’re a community of grizzled veterans mixed with newer posters but the important thing is we try to respect each other’s viewpoints despite our sometimes hair trigger responses. Hopefully we’ll celebrate snow in SNE soon.

Agree. Ensembles largely in agreement moving into December

Disagree. Climo for mid levels is much more favorable a month from now and this setup would work in mid December.

Meanwhile first of the ensembles available on the 12Z suite look pretty nice going forward towards December

I flew into BOS from MCO that evening just as the storm was beginning-pretty bumpy landing! Had a few cat paws on the way home but basically a cold rainstorm for me.

Early cold skews the mindset. Early cold doesn’t do a whole leg to SSTs.

Yes. Hard to expect meaningful snow in early to mid November regardless of the tellies.

In implying that their numbers don’t even remotely match the surrounding close by stations after allowing for normal differences. I don’t know how they measure but i do know that the NWS knows of this issue but probably have their hands tied so to speak.
