  1. Heart of summer. Big heat with mild downs. Let’s hope Hadley relents for winter.
  2. We’re going quantity. I never sniffed 97 but this time there’s a very good chance
  3. I see that point. It’s just younger community folks work there which poses a risk to everyone else.
  4. Why? A lot of younger care givers were sickened or died from those facilities.
  5. Daily numbers are disturbing. I’ve been following per million numbers and check 2-3 weeks ago vs today. Because they are rural states there’s a limit to how bad it can get. On the flip side, can hospitals handle the end result. Not entirely sure why other than the surge happening in the south and west.
  6. And HI has a huge geography advantage. But Montana and Wyoming aren’t doing that well. So yes rural is easier but it still has to be managed.
  7. I go by cases per million in population. HI still lowest but VT is next.
  8. I think most employees covered by insurance automatically have to accept generic if it’s available. Call the insurance company and find out your options. Then call your doctor and have that person work with you. Huge numbers of folks take medicine daily.
  9. Pretty much guaranteed the guy gets a bill for the rescue.
  10. I think it’s a good snow place too given the location and elevation
  11. Good for you on a hot day! We’re looking at Underhill. Stowe, Montpellier. Ideas? Probably a year or 2 out.
  12. That’s a great thread....not sure how I missed it! Randolph is nearly perfect because you’re also actually near enough to civilization. That’s what attracts me to Stowe. I have to be in striking distance of medical care at this point and some places don’t have that option. But digging into Randolph that’s a great location! Not sure what I’d do with a lot of land at this point in my life though....
  13. Back to looking towards Stowe,VT. We can sell, buy for straight cash and pocket the difference. Triple my snow in the process...
  14. Nah I’m a few $$ below o suspect. Not poor but by no means rich.
  15. He can build a home and show me again how to ski!
  16. Interesting thing is this pandemic cured me of wanting to eat out. Simpler life which hopefully continues on the other side. So you’re saying consider GC?
  17. We’re actually looking in Maine as well. Maine is less tax friendly vs MA/PA but better vs VT.
  18. Yup. But I do like PIT. Also northern VT but winters are too long...
  19. Hmmm.....well I talk about leaving the area and never do all the time..
  20. Let me know after we move when you’re visiting. Of course this move may take a few years...
  21. Lol...dead serious. Same tax benefit for a lot of my income as MA. About the same amount of climo snow as Boston. Been many times and love the city. Both MA and PA do not impose state income tax on SS and govt pensions which will likely be half of our income.
  22. Seriously thinking about a move to Pittsburgh. Buy a nice house for cash, nice city, nice area. Anyone know the snow situation? Climo seems similar to Boston
