Congrats to you and your wife as well! It’s so funny but we always know when it’s time. When my potential 2 day/week gig sent me computer access credentials I pulled the trigger. If that doesn’t pan out-who cares...
Thank you! I decided to put the papers in....out on 9/30/2020. Several interesting gigs await...maybe taking up 2 days a week. Looking forward to the next chapter.
I vividly remember tops of railroad utility poles blowing down my street. This is about a mile from the tracks in Teaneck,NJ. As an almost 8 year old, it was awesome!
Speaking of risk....keeping my eyes open. We have to visit Chicago and we’ve chosen not to fly....driving. Researched lodging and determined air bnb is safest vs hotel just due to the fact that there is little F2F with anyone aside from your family. We’ll bring disinfectant and return a few days later. Hopefully I can get tested at work (results typically in 24 hours or less) because I don’t at all like working from home and a lot of my stuff can’t be done that way. But if this ramps up as we move indoors I’m out. Otherwise no later than the end of the year. I’m tired!
Interestingly enough, these populations have consistently been against F2F school in the fall. Maybe because of their already higher risk and not wanting to increase it? Most lower income people know someone who had a bad covid outcome.
So somewhat OT but our daughter had a reasonably lucrative baby sitting gig in this town right on the Canadian border about 40 minutes north of Burlington. Heading up there for her second day the mom says oh btw our last sitter who the kids saw a week prior is sick and positive. Of course neither she nor the kids wore masks indoors the previous day. She called the VT public health department and they told her not to worry. She decided to quarantine and was tested yesterday for the 2nd time since moving there 7/1. Negative results today is a huge relief! She’ll celebrate by climbing Mt Ascutney wIth a friend.
