  1. Picking them off, one barefaced human at a time?
  2. Nice all day soaker. Good day to be retired. Stein hanging on by his fingernails...
  3. Direct hit from a late season hurricane. Book it!
  4. Maybe for lower SNE but 2007-08 was decent for the pike region including BOS and great north of there.
  5. Driving down from VT last night and in parts of NH the car read 37 degrees. This was around 8PM so my guess is widespread sub freezing in NNE overnight.
  6. Gone. I think an old GF from lime 45 years ago took it.
  7. Ok let’s move it to 11/13 and give you 4-8 in Randolph.
  8. Hard to imagine looking at that and ending up snowy with a great December but we did.
  9. Agree-it hurts to give it up but I have it on more contemporary media..lol.
  10. That UKMET is like warm and wet. That can be pretty snowy in New England. See 2012-13.
  11. She was asking what happened to the dark side of the moon album..ultimately located. These albums were packed up from our last move.
  12. That’s a ton of work raindance-thank you!
  13. For us in EMA it was a 6 week stretch that gave a ton of snow. I remember the snow banks were unreal-wan't that the year of Kevin's manicured banks? It petered out in February but a front loaded winter like that to me is preferred. Regarding your assertion of the pig-it's complicated. The pig in October relented. Many of the great winters had it in October and indeed some all winter-as long as we have enough poleward pointing of a ridge nearby to facilitate cold dumping. Models this year do not sure a pig in the long range yet. But as Will and others mentioned, NAO is pretty critical to our fortunes. Hey I think we have a +PDO now? That can help! https://www.ospo.noaa.gov/Products/ocean/sst/anomaly/index.html
  14. Windy and warm here in BTV today. I just dragged 3 full boxes of our old LPs into our daughter’s apartment. Each box probably 60-70 lbs from the car up to her 2nd floor apartment. Them a ton of other stuff she needs. So glad to have done this before the storms hit later! Not bad for an old man! Flakes here in the mountains this week?
  15. So I’m going to VT tomorrow and was tested yesterday. Am I banned?
  16. I hope Phineas is wrong about the winter dystopia about to descend. I fear he is right though. We’re in for some sorry times for a spell. A cold and snowy winter would certainly keep this group upbeat!
  17. Another 5 minutes of wind and damage would have been quite severe. As it is trees down all over the place.
  18. Not sure how I kept power but on a zoom for a meeting and it’s a good thing!
  19. Big line moving in-thin but intense.
  20. I wonder if the Tip theory is the whole issue? Basically calling enso based on SSTAs which may be in part overall warming induced making El Niño less predictable. Conversely, perhaps on that basis the current nina is stronger than we think. But the big problem is the sample size is so small vs real science (eg: population studies in medical research could have an n of 30,000 vs the long range forecasting which is under 50 making it not really scientifically valid imho.
