Saw aurora in Quetico on a canoe trip summer of 1998. Spectacular every night. Maybe head north presuming clear skies getting as far away from light pollution as possible?
We see this all he time. Heck, I remember the gtg at Clarke’s with progs of rain and warm over the weekend from a Monday lead time even doing up snowy and icy.
Well wintry yesterday and today and likely tomorrow. We’re likely heading back to Chicago within the next week or so....they may have a better location given the pattern unfolding over the next few weeks.
OT bit we stayed in this amazing boutique hotel in the summer of 2017 in QC. My wife picked it out and I was skeptical but it was an amazing experience
Think about it...all those lows bombing through the maritimes, going up over us, or clippers blowing up in NNE....all give quebec nice snow. It’s a snowy place!
To correct Kevin’s memory-GEFS showed the amazing pattern last Monday at 12z and eps followed epic by Wednesday. GEFS and eps both modified it by late week. It’s December 6th.
