We’ve had beneficial rain during the past 3 days at times. Gardens and lawns are happy.

You literally have NYC summer climo. I generally am ok with dews but the heat and dews cooked me Thursday afternoon. Happy for the break before we get a milder version during tomorrow and the week ahead.

Welcome to our insane family! While we get plenty of heat and humidity here, its residence time is typically limited but less so if you’re closer to NYC vs BOS. What town/state are you in?

I have to teach my 3 hour class in Worcester today so I did a brisk 3 mile walk. Still hot and humid but obviously it won’t reach 90 today. I came home drenched in sweat.

BOS topped out at 97. 92/98/97 is impressive for so early. My high was 96.

Another scorcher but honestly on my midnight walk it felt more comfortable vs the night before even though objectively dews were high temps were warmer. Maybe getting acclimated. In any case, 3 day heatwave has been achieved for many. Tomorrow should be comparatively pleasant albeit with shower threat. I’ll be in Worcester by noon tomorrow so I have a shot at some storms I think.

Shows how fast a straight west wind changes things vs one with a small marine influence. Look at the wind change in the obs. Still I need to see other obs in the area. MBY is 95.

In general, this heat and especially H5 was exceptionally well modeled from a pretty long lead time.

I think Logan probably pulls a 96 today with dews >70. Legit HHH.

Logan up nearly 6 degrees in the past 20 minutes as Tip and I surmised would happen.

Temperature notwithstanding imagine not appreciating the long daylight we have now? It’s fleeting but I wish it weren’t. Ironically I also appreciate the nadir 6 months from now.

I’m pumped for the heat! 100 is tough this early but summer is here for sure. I do think this summer is a roaster in our region. But today was really lovely.
