  1. I was chatting with my neighbor who is a scientist working on many subjects. She thinks once we have 50-55% vaccinated it’s over citing Israeli statistics ongoing. That means that we’re likely done this summer if she is correct.
  2. I remember opening day 1972-Sox/Yankees. Temps in the mid 30s with thickening clouds and 3 inches of snow that night. But the game got in while it was dry. I couldn’t move my limbs for awhile after sitting there and I was in my 20s. Boston won 2-1 but it was bullshit. I was sitting in the grandstand behind the plate and Horace Clarke was definitely safe trying to score the tying run.
  3. I’ve been in Seattle with the temperature over 100. Same for Portland. But dews are low. Eureka has consistent chilly windy conditions. I like heat and dews but like everything else there’s a limit. Oregon and WA have beautiful sunny warm dry summers with long days being north of 45N
  4. You should consider living in Eureka,CA
  5. It actually comes back but in diminishing waves.
  6. Just get me to Memorial Day. Spring blows.
  7. Wind roared earlier but it seemed to shut off like a light switch about Noon.
  8. Long before Romney. I noticed it when I moved from California (then much less blue) 30 years ago.
  9. Link for those statements? Pretty high life quality here. Congested near the city-of course! But life expectancy in the top tier within the US and that’s a telling statistic. Incidentally CT life expectancy is high. Nothing beats HI
  10. I particularly enjoy my exemption on MA state income tax on a substantial amount of my retirement income.....
  11. Well regardless of the prog today is gorgeous.
  12. I was oblivious and in Florida as my dad passed suddenly 2 days earlier. But I made the bell for 97.
  13. Roy sang days ago but that’s for sne.
  14. I wish this were true. My benchmark is Will I go to a night game in Boston? To be safe I tend to wait until June.
  15. Lol....I’m getting a $600 shed and bitching about it. Only purpose is to house the blowe, mower, chainsaw, garden stuff.
  16. All classic. Older with less reactions and females more than males although I’m not sure what the J&J vs Moderna is with those demographics. Glad your “vaxed” Jeff!
  17. Reflecting our 10 year age difference...lol.
  18. All these things! My first glove was a Stan Musial model-he was still at the top of his game then...did the same thing with oil and the ball!
  19. We have escrows in our mortgage and it’s annoying but worth the $600/month we saved on our refinance a few months after I retired.
  20. Escrow shortages happen all the time. It may be their mistake but when the payment lowered you gained by pocketing the difference when they lowered your payment. Now it’s time to pay. It sounds harsh but it’s not like the total outlay would be any different. Pay attention to taxes and if you notice the bank forgets, pay the town yourself. And refinance but only if you can get a rate 0.5 lower than your current one. The mortgage companies are all the same. I must have had 15-20 mortgages over the years. Current rate is 2.8% which I’m pretty sure will never be lower.
