  1. 1950s and 60s were the golden years.
  2. NYC as of now should be considered way ahead given the sizable climo difference. Also, most of us in the area are now 50+. I’m at 54.8.
  3. My advice is don’t pass it up. But I’ve lived in the healthcare world so it’s automatic for us. One thing that seems clear is that those who get vaccinated are largely protected against severe covid.
  4. Or another way to put it is keep your shoes on at TSA airport checkpoint.
  5. And a preliminary happy 75th!
  6. I’m hearing from friends VA is mostly Moderna. Moderna is easier to store and a US company which the VA usually likes. Also, VA was able to vaccinate their entire work force in December and January. My first shot (at Gillette) had a lot of arm soreness but nothing systemic but supposedly the second is more sicky for 24 hours. My friend and his wife got the second and his wife was fine but he had a rough 24 hours. Even after one the protection is supposedly pretty good. We’ll be getting our second 3/16 and 3/18. I hope everyone is able to get one of them soon. I had to use my eligibility as a non covid provider as did my wife. I’m hearing Maine started with 70 and up. MA first group was 75 which I initially just missed until we played the card. (I’m 74)
  7. There’s your 1956-down to same days of the week!
  8. Still in my top 5 of snow periods I’ve lived through
  9. I remember that being the storm that ruined futility at BOS. We were flying in and were among the last flights in as snow was increasing. That was during my streak of missing good ones but we got to enjoy and sled on the 8-9 inches.
  10. I remember that storm. Had about 10 inches per memory. What a great March that was! Didn’t we have another threat about a week later?
  11. Wish I could post the picture of Don Kent and me in front of his map about 50 years ago but attachment size limits ftl m.
  12. Happy birthday Brett! I hope the covid in you is leaving without a mark.
  13. C-C+ Positives: one 12-18, several 6+, October dump. Negatives: Grinch, January mind numbing meh. March can bring it down or up a grade depending on what happens.
  14. Not yet. I don’t dare play that until there’s no chance left.
  15. That’s like agreement between the Mariners, the Pirates, and the Rockies.
  16. Hey Jay...congratulations in your engagement happy for you! Good work! I think with your youth your prognosis is good for a substantial recovery especially with your dedication to progress.
  17. That looks like about where mine was on our way to the airport late yesterday
  18. You can always tell who responds with emojis to your post...
  19. I think I’m timing this FL sojourn well with our arrival this evening and at least my return around 3/3. I think we have one more major shot around 3/10.
  20. It’s kind of been a cluster here in MA. I pulled my professional license card to get vaccinated despite being 74 years old. My wife did the same. Other than a really sore arm no issues with Moderna shot #1. The older folks like us have been having less of a reaction though the 2nd shot supposedly is the tough one. Ironically our daughter had both shots in VT-much more efficient vs MA.
