  1. Splendid summer day. Warm enough for all activities including water.
  2. You’d be surprised at how many legit research ideas are concocted while dumping....
  3. Except he may have some liability fair or not. Refer to the legal team
  4. Big drop in life expectancy largely thanks to covid. The biggest impact is among people of color.
  5. Who knew? When I worked for the feds I kept all political opinions to myself. That hasn’t changed given how much easier it is to discuss wx and family without the rabble rousing.
  6. In other news S&P has crossed 4400.
  7. I think you missed the point. Vaccinated people don’t have much risk of becoming really sick or dying but can they spread the virus to the non vaccinated? Because it’s clear so many people are choosing not to be vaccinated I have made the decision to mask up indoors in pubic places like supermarkets.
  8. The vaccination rate in Israel is not what you think. I think all 6 New England states exceed it. The biggest issue is that like here there is a sizable resistance to vaccinate in a similar age demographic. So when israel opened up, the increasing delta variant was like a no brainer. Many areas of the USA exceed Israel’s rate.
  9. I had to come into Coolidge Corner and confirm. Got hit with the edge of it as I was leaving. Retarped the wood pile….
  10. My wife is heading back to ORD Sunday returning about 10 days later. I’m staying behind but I’m kind of jealous as she’ll likely see some big heat.
  11. Hopefully you had enough dingleberries to deter the process for the rest of us.....
  12. It looks warm and probably normal qpf over the next couple of weeks.
  13. Still a bit muggy but I’m in long pants after doctor visit
  14. Kevin is at the stage like winter when he’s trying to hang onto pack. “It won’t get warmer than 40 for 24 hours” immediately preceding an impending melt down.
  15. They don’t make them like they used to. We moved into this house in 2015 and it had a 1997 subzero fridge. We had to replace the thermostat last summer ($400) so we got off easy. Those refrigerators of that era can sometimes last 50 years. In any case, if it blows, we’re committed to replace it despite the $8-10k but I bet it lasts at least another 5+ years. The house came with a Maytag washer and drier circa 1979! The washer crapped out about 3 years ago thanks to our daughter not emptying her pockets and some cheap necklace got into the motor and that was it. Dryer a year later. We replaced the washer with a Kenmore and so far so good. We ended up replacing the dryer with a Maytag but I think that’s now the same as kitchenaide. I haven’t bought an extended warranty for years-prefer to make a decision based on odds and if I get burned I get burned. With cars it’s a non issue as we’ve been leasing for about 12 years.
  16. The NBA is the best sport entertainment around bar none for excitement. Fun series!
  17. That’s pretty much consensus of those who have been. Next trip formulating....
  18. Croatia actually sounds most interesting to me. Western Europe gets old but never Paris.
  19. It has been stormy and humid but too cool for my liking.
  20. Warm? Through 7/18: BOS: -2.5 BDL: -1.0 PVD: -1.5 ORH: -2.4 Watm nights but cooler days. IOW-ugh.
  21. Agree! I guess those of us who had their kids get educated pre pandemic are very lucky....
  22. Serious question-has this actually happened? I mean people talk about strangers behind their back but I’ve never seen someone get into some random person’s face from some perceived offense....
  23. Temperatures and the feel is a tad sultry today nevertheless.
  24. First summer off since 1961-this is what I get.....
