  1. Good morning and Happy New Year 2022! May everyone stay healthy and snowy!
  2. Pretty sweet long range tonight-I daresay it's coming! Happy New Year friends!
  3. Euro bringing 1/7 to more relevance.
  4. I'm amazed I haven't gotten it or at least I'm not aware of having. I've been exposed directly multiple times and have never tested + nor had symptoms. At the meeting I was at in November, masks were required. I was moderating a session and one of the people on the podium ended up with covid. We had our masks off presenting or speaking-by the time I found out he was sick it was a week later and I tested negative. Never symptomatic.
  5. My guess is they'll make it fine. Just hope no one ends up positive because THAT will delay things for sure!
  6. Yeah I get that. Everyone in health care will be wearing masks a long time but I'm out. Back in 1918 it took several years to eventually peter out. But your situation is tough! It seems like omicron is blowing through the population quickly so maybe things are normalized by spring? When is your family scheduled to return?
  7. We got distracted and missed the ball dropping! I'll have to watch a rerun.......
  8. It's been over since last summer. People just dealing with the possibility of getting sick but living life. We're already to the point that everyone has made up their minds and moving on with their decisions. I have it in my house and I'm still not living differently. Although I did an ad hoc interview with my daughter to see what her symptoms are. Basically a moderate cold so far. Others I know have been sicker. It is no longer a deadly virus to the extent it was in 2020. It won't go away but from what I've observed-people have moved on. The political types have dug in but everyone else is living life.
  9. Hard to conjure 2022. I remember as a young boy thinking about 2000 and realizing I'd be in my 50s....thinking oh man-I'll be so old! Now it's 22 years later and I'm 75 and glad to be alive! Bruce in his heyday sang...said it so well..... "For the ones who had a notion-a notion deep inside that it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive"
  10. These posts...the entire forum is drunk....Happy New Year!
  11. So.....our daughter just tested positive-has been mildly ill and now home (sadly not able to hang out with her bf and friends for NYE). So to me this is a good test of the boosters which my wife got about 2-3 weeks ago and me 2 months ago ( driven by my plan on being part of a 6500 person meeting in person in Boston in November). I’ve been busy talking our daughter off the ledge that if I get it I am not going to die and my concern was 1000x higher when I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke 4 weeks ago. Stay safe everyone and Happy New Year ! May 2022 fulfill all of your weenie snow dreams!
  12. So sorry to see this Don! My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
  13. Will and Scott giving me reasons to look!
  14. We’ve had a lot of years with even warmer starts and warm falls but in years the pattern shifted cold the SSTs responded quickly. We also have had many snow events in early winter with infernal SSTs. As usual early in the season the vector is everything for the coast.
  15. Yeah gfs still playing frontsie backsie.
  16. Nothing says wonderful like a dank dark drizzly day in the 30s…
  17. Yeah the Seattle area is in the 60s today thanks to CC.
  18. Great sleeping weather. Nothing to influence thee internal dialog to look out at the fun weather...
  19. The people bashing Cosgrove haven’t been following him the past few years….or they’re bitter for some reason.
  20. LC has been pretty strong the past few years. I anticipate delaying the cold until mid month at the earliest. Hopefully I’m wrong but it’s starting to line up that way.
  21. Welcome yes and as you allude-necessary. I’m willing to roll the dice with that look....we’d provably have better chances of big ticket snows vs the current pattern.
  22. Euro op with 486 thickness on the southern shore of James Bay. Didn’t the weeklies snow this maybe a week or 2 ago?
