    Since there tends to be about a 3 month lag, what's the difference? With that said, too much emphasis is put on enso state sometimes. There are many factors-some enso, others bad luck.

    We had a full fledged blizzard with 18-20 inches and huge winds. The Boston area got into a big band that rotated in and sat for awhile.

    Thanks! I notice 18z euro showed what seemed to me lake enhancement later. Good luck-wish I could come but I’m home recovering from covid. I did send this to 15 Chicagoland relatives: “Heads up everyone. A once a decade blizzard is likely later this week in Chicagoland. If I didn't have a rebound of Covid we'd be coming to experience it. Any travel after Wednesday probably will need to be rearranged. It's going to be very cold later in the storm-be careful!”

    Yeah Chicagoland doesn’t get biggies that often but when they do they are doozies. I’m mildly disappointed but this year covid took the choice away.

    It has warmed but the long wave pattern is what I’m talking about. I mean the west is way below average. Snow frequently the past 2 years in Seattle. It has happened before on similar patterns. To me the biggest effect of cc is the length of the cold season which seems shorter.

    Climate change is real. But to take a 10-20 year slice and point to cc is dishonest. We’ve had periods like this before.

    Nope. Stuck here with covid-trip last week got cancelled from covid. I took Paxlovid and now have a rebound case which is annoying. If I was covid free I’d head out there but I’d wait until it was 24 hours away.
