  1. I was delivering for people in the Tenafly/Englewood area. Must have been 120 in the non ac truck. I sneakily enjoyed it while complaining.
  2. 1966 showing in some of those records. That was a very hot summer!
  3. Morning pee run and I noted snow otg. Back to sleep 2 hours and gone by the time I got up. Cold but with early spring sun angle it doesn’t feel all that bad. Did not use my heaviest coat. I’ve been saving it before bringing it for its annual cleaning. May need it tonight though.
  4. Very few would save $20-30/week. Our taxes aren’t high enough. Costco still under $4/gallon. Saving $20-30/ week would need a person using 100 gallons/week. At 20 mpg that’s 2000 miles/week!
  5. And my original post didn’t say they did. I said governor proposed it and legislature said no.
  6. A lot of posts validating why I hate spring. Roll to Father’s Day. By then it’s more reliably nice. I have refused to go to a night game here before 6/15. The one time I broke down was 2014 when a Boston/Oakland game in late April was played with me in full winter gear with temperatures in the mid 30s and misery mist.
  7. It’s weird that democratic governors are pushing this. There are some exceptions. For example VT. Moderate republican governor wants to do it but democratic legislators say no.. VT is a pretty high tax state with a lot of citizens feeling the pinch. It’s not like one could drive less there....
  8. I would love to fast forward to Father’s Day at this point vs enduring New England spring.
  9. When we look back at snow totals-this will be a considered a good year for Boston. But even in the decent totals zone, it seemed a short winter with fewer than normal events. The events that did occur were strong though.
  10. As long as this has become banter I suggest watching the 8 episode series on Apple TV titled 1971. Music and lots more. A reminder of the work the Staples Singers did-way underrated!
  11. The next 9 days are hopefully warm but they appear AOB. Too early to spike.
  12. I’m a Merrill guy too but flip flops only at home as they don’t support walking. In fact I use Keens which thankfully cover my toenails so other people don’t vomit. Decades of running have killed them…
  13. Thank you! You made the right choice btw. I was supposed to do this last September but was too busy. Then in December but had a health scare and had to postpone so I’m happy to put it behind me. Right eye was done last July. Did you see where Ralph Terry died? He slipped on the ice and had a brain bleed.
  14. Yesterday was spectacular. I actually had to remove my jacket for a late night walk last night. Finally getting my left eye cataract done Monday so being less active for a few days I won’t care about shitty wx.
  15. Bottle a day like today and hope winter stays away unless it’s >8”
  16. John, thanks for these details. The loss of Mish Michaels has left a big hole in the weather community and of course her friends and most importantly her family.
  17. Last week, we had a deer practically in our yard. Last night I encountered one in my walk. Animals know it’s over.
  18. Mish is definitely deceased. Cause not specified.... https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/03/16/metro/family-mourns-passing-longtime-boston-broadcast-meteorologist-mish-michaels/?event=event12
  19. Your right-Trump always has loved DST…. The real culprit is little Marco
  20. Why do you doubt it with such broad support aside from us?
