Last year had the very cold hits but could not sustain. Things that happened as they did this season, cool and wet may into June and then hot and humid as hell itself with constant thunderstorms. Now zero thunderstorms. I found a lot of those winters that followed had lengthy but not spectacular cold This summer was like 2010 in my backyard. I remember 1966 with the persistent late afternoon thunderstorms . And others. Great reading everything y’all

Gotta finalize but each winter lately has kinda slowly improved from disaster and I think that trend continues

Dew point just briefly dipped to 49 at Dulles. Riddance of Hell Heat is wonderful Don’t spend the entire day with too much body heat. Damn sweat would not evaporate and nearly boiled

22-25 degrees cooler today at 12 noon versus last 3 days of 90,93,92 at 12 and it’s currently 68

The storm drains were bubbling like geysers almost on Reichs Ford at that time and deep water in those gullies so I can see how the entrapment happened

30 minutes of crazy 2 miles se of Frederick. Water penetrating through front door, 1.7” in 30 minutes, several gusts to 60 and many to 50

2 miles southeast of Frederick and last 20 minutes incredible. Persistent 50mph gusts with a few to 60 and 1” rain in 20 minutes .

If you go to the end of Kemp Mill Shopping Center parking lot off Arcola and go to far end of it I’m very close to that

Sligo creek about 450 feet from me came out of its 6-7’ banks and flooded up to 300 feet away on the level ground side, I’m at elevation, to a depth of 2-3’ right at the bank and up to 300 feet away was 6-12” deep. Last time anything like this leither 2006 or 07 just can’t remember which

Insanity on 32 near Ft Meade yesterday at 3. Sky green and had Midwest tornado look to it, rotating clouds, swirling blinding rain, had to slow to 10 mph , strange noises, easily 50mph winds with higher gusts. After about 10 minutes it eased up but that’s as bad as I’ve driven in in 30 years
