    I’m about 20 minutes outside of Chattanooga coming up from Atlanta. Looking at stopping at Athens, TN. Not looking to get stuck just looking to see some good snow fall. Is Athens a decent spot?

    The difference between the GFS/RGEM and the NAM is truly remarkable for being 12-18 hours away at most. Pondering a drive up to the Crossville area tomorrow from Atlanta. The snow itch is real. so much uncertainty.

    Verbatim, that is a strange snow map with half a foot in Mobile, AL and nothing in Atlanta. Imagine there will be a few big hits on the EPS when it rolls out here shortly... Still think the ensembles are the best thing to look at this far away. The trend towards a stronger wave seems to be clear right now.

    Great link in the bottom of your post, Burger. Going a bit more into teleconnections which all the newcomers are seeing in the current discussions... This is what you want for snow and cold in the SE. -AO -NAO +PNA Its rare we get all 3 at one time...
