    Well that was pitiful compared to forecasts.The cold feels great when the wind dies down though. In other news, GFS has the first true gulf low on the 14th. Let's see what the magic 8 ball has in store for mid month.

    I'm not "as" excited as I was 2 days ago about the event, but hey snow is snow at this point.

    6z GFS has a nice little feature on the 5th. Give that particular run a 0% chance of verifying, but at least mystery snow is showing on models again.

    And not to skip over this, but the latest GFS almost had precip far enough west for something interesting friday. not great thermals but still close.

    138, honestly on the surface the Euro for this run mimics the GFS

    Hour 126. Stronger HP on Euro, MUCH wetter. more comparable to the GFS than the 0z run.

    Euro has a stronger HP at 114 compared to the GFS by a couple of notches, and slightly southern. Drier also.

    Go ahead and classify this, whatever it is, as the first winter test of the new GFS.

    I'm not as enthusiastic about any particular threat showing up on models yet as most, but man it feels good to see the potential there this early on.

    Trying to beat the heat by watching peoples weather forecasts for the winter, but now I'm hurting from laughing, specifically from the farmers almanac.

    Although its been "hot" up here recently. Tomorrow I get to experience nearly 100 degrees for the first time in a couple of years. I feel like my body isnt ready to sit in the concrete oasis known as the Knights stadium.

    Got some rain up this way in Boone last night. Hope yall had some as well, can already tell my allergies are so much better. (That's what she said) also the heat doesnt bother me unless I'm working and dont get to enjoy it lol, then I just want it to be miserable and wet outside so I feel like I'm not missing anything.
