  1. Just went outside and noticed a high thin cloud cover that is preventing a quicker drop in temps.
  2. OK. I just never saw a forecast predicting that much snow.
  3. Big range in temperatures on these clear, cold nights with no wind. Nearby airports still in the mid 40s, while local stations, such as mine, already dropping into the 30s. Muttontown in northern Nassau, already in the mid 30s.
  4. So what happened, the forecast was for feet of snow and instead they got feet of rain? If so, that would have made some snow lovers pretty upset.
  5. How is this for a snowy forecast: https://www.foxweather.com/weather-news/alaskans-brace-for-a-record-12-feet-of-snow-in-two-days
  6. I am not in the frost advisory for tonight but we will probably have plenty. I had frost last night.
  7. Yea I have frost in open areas like car top, roof top and even now on some of the grass. Meanwhile the NWS does not have my area under a frost advisory for tonight but they have one for Newark. I was about 7 degrees colder than Newark this morning.
  8. My car, in an open area, has ice on the roof. My temperature is in the mid 30s. The grass is just wet.
  9. Central Park Weather station gets honor. Maybe some landscaping is also in order. https://nwschat.weather.gov/p.php?pid=202110311046-KOKX-NOUS41-PNSOKX
  10. Never got out of the 50s here today, very little sun.
  11. Yeah that seems to be the question, is Monday in or out of the warm sector
  12. Very mild morning at 63 degrees. Meanwhile up north in the Adirondacks, looks like a weekend of mixed rain and snow.
  13. Lee Goldberg indicating a pattern change and this could be our mildest night until next spring. We shall see.
  14. With that warmth up north, if we get some good cold air passing over the warmer than normal Great Lakes, could be some big lake affect in the snowbelt areas.
  15. It seems the warmth over the past number of months has been more extreme, relative to normal, the further north you go.
  16. Maybe some 70 degree readings tomorrow in the normally milder areas, but it looks like the 70s are history this weekend and next week. It was nice while it lasted.
