  1. 23 my low also. Coldest of the season.
  2. That is what my area looked like yesterday morning about 7am. It was gone by 8, so you actually might have had the same thing yesterday but if you didn't look out side early, you missed it.
  3. Exactly, which is why it would seem to me if they remove the foliage, temps would be higher in the day and lower at night, in general.
  4. I have never seen the site in Central Park but I wonder if they want to keep it somewhat hidden because of possible vandalism. Of course they still can keep it reasonably under control with the overgrowth.
  5. On and off light snow and flurries all morning
  6. Trace of snow here, car tops and some roof tops have a light coating.
  7. It looks like much of the far north winter has started. Snow on the ground and temps in the teens and 20s. By far north in our part of the country I mean the Adirondack region east to northern Maine. Winter from Thanksgiving to April is just to long.
  8. Clouds are clearing and wind gusting to 30mph. Very blustery chilly day, 46 degrees and going nowhere.
  9. Got down to 30 degrees here but clouds moving in so that may be my low.
  10. Muttontown, the cold spot of Nassau County, already down to 29.7
  11. Another quiet wind night creating vast temperature differences from place to place.
  12. Baldwinsville NY just NW of Syracuse received about 10 inches of Lake Affect snow. Meanwhile feels like winter outside, breezy and 37 degrees.
  13. Would not be surprised to see some teens tonight in the coldest locations.
  14. Maybe some flurries this weekend around the area.
  15. 26 degrees this morning. Coldest so far this season.
  16. 28 degrees this morning, coldest of the season.
  17. Had my 7th straight night below 40 last night with a low of 37.1. Beautiful daytime highs with 67 yesterday and maybe higher today.
  18. December 22 http://www.nrcc.cornell.edu/services/blog/2021/10/21/index.html
  19. Yea the radiational cooling nights create some big differences in temperatures in very short distances.
  20. Yea it seems the mid 40s are right on the water at both north and south shores, I am still 34.
  21. Quite a range in temperatures on Long Island. Recording stations on Weatherlink show temperatures at the Long Island Sound stations and the south shore water locations in the low to mid 40s while the middle of the Island has temps in the 20s to mid 30s. Central Park appears to be the only major city from Boston to D.C. that stayed at 40 degrees.
