Hottest temperature of the year here, 93.6.

71 here earlier this morning, already up to 73.6. UHI in full affect as Manhattan is 80. Very muggy out.

73 here this morning. Looks like my 3rd day in a row with 90 plus. My second heat wave of the season.

It was uncomfortable today to say the least. If some clouds didn't move in, my 91 could have been a 92 or 3.

Only down to 84, tomorrow could be a mid 90s day here if we can get a light north wind like today.

Today was oppressive but 91 (at least near me) is not unheard of. If it gets to the mid or upper 90s here, that is pretty unusual. Today here was a typical Florida summer day. To hot.

Temperatures in our area certainly are oppressive but not really extreme heat such as upper 90s. We will see what the next few days bring.

Are you talking Brookhaven Long Island? Brookhaven Labs weather station has recorded 85, 87, 89 the past 3 days.

Yes, actually it looks like after Thursday we go back to more seasonable temperatures.

Accu weather and the NWS don't seem to agree with the GFS and have highs on Monday in the upper 70s not upper 80s, we shall see.

Hit 91 here but dropped back to the 80s during most of the afternoon.

Some clouds have moved in here and the temperature dropped from 91 to 86.

Central Park and Newark both represent the urban landscape. Newark in the industrial area and Central Park in a tree lined setting. So pick your poison. Meanwhile Long Island and eastern N.J. seem to be strange bedfellows today as far as temperatures go. Approaching or at 90 in many Long Island locations.
