  1. 44 here, some light snow in the Adirondacks.
  2. This transition from summer to fall has so far been about as normal as it gets, as far as temperatures go.
  3. As hard as the Tampa webcam showed the rain coming down, it is even harder now.
  4. Looking at Tampa cam, wind picking up and the rain has been relentlessly hard.
  5. Looks like eye is coming ashore just south of Sarasota.
  6. Doesn't look like a lot of wind in downtown Tampa but it sure is raining hard.

  8. It claims to be live and it has gone from light to dark. I noticed the same thing, not to windy. Maybe buildings blocking some of the wind.

  10. I think the bay may be in the very northern part of the eye wall, or they will just miss it and stay in the very strong northern eyewall winds.

  16. It looks like some shear and dry air are finally having some affect on the storm, lets hope.
  17. I was surprised Islip did not hit the 40s on September 9. They got to 50, I got down to 48 that night. As you mentioned the east wind probably had more of an affect on them.
  18. First frost of the season could be in store for our colder suburbs next week.
  19. My drizzle turned into an actual rain, .13 total.
  20. Hopefully shear cuts those winds by landfall, but the surge may not be affected by any weakening.

  22. Looks like rain over southwest Ct. and Long Island Sound, once again nothing here.
  23. September here averaged 67 degrees, the high 83, low 47 and peak wind gust 22 and total rain .64. That is about as boring as it gets.
