  1. Blue skies are making an aggressive appearance to the west.
  2. The 270 split storm magnet usually finds a way
  3. Looks like central Moco is about to get rocked next
  4. One of the transformers sparked here, though building a ton of developments all at once probably doesn’t help the grid.
  5. Short lived, but man that one came in like a wall. I wouldn’t want to be in the watershed biking rn.
  6. Yea and hailing here. Top 5er since I moved here. .
  7. Easily severe here. This is one helluva storm
  8. The bugs have been legit recently. Birds damn near flying into my car with the windows down, mosquitoes hitching rides while I’m biking, biting gnats or whatever the hell those things are that I don’t recall experiencing in Moco, and even a wasp (probably a mud dauber) found its way into my place yesterday. The mid Atlantic swamp is back.
  9. Not much of a hockey fan, but grew up going to the caps center so it’s kind of in my blood. With that said, the caps really got bodied by the hurricanes. Seems like they hit a slump at the wrong the time.
  10. Yea, looks like a pretty awesome pattern coming up
  11. You obliterated this event. Frederick only had a wimpy 2-2.5"
  12. Catoctin Creek is very energetic rn. Not even sure that area needs another gully washer. The creek is getting precariously high along parts of Hamburg Road leading into the Watershed.
  13. The videos from the Ellicott City flooding several years ago definitely made me realize how serious a flash flood can get.
  14. lol that’s wild. Looks like an atmospheric river on radar
  15. Our sweet spot is getting that southerly/easterly flow…basically just throws moisture along the “front range”. Nw/westerly flow systems are generally trash here that lead to scattered showers and debris clouds.
  16. Radar looks stunning down there
  17. Yea, good soaking rain up here. Looks like 1.5”+ for the day is within reach
  18. Been cranking in Columbia since I got here and, of course, the precip rates improved on my drive in while crossing Parr's Ridge. Beautiful event so far, at least in the northern tier.
  19. We're still outstanding at Miller A's.
  20. I can feel an uptick in humidity today and it’s awesome. The weather pattern this spring feels like more typical MA than prior years. The desire I have for dry, nw flows is limited.
  21. River's Edge trails are probably pretty wild rn.
  22. Extremely successful stat padder event. Drove through some showers and walked through puddles en route to work this morning.
  23. It was pouring for a few minutes when I left Columbia…I work by the mall. Looked like some isolated cells, but was surprised to see it.
  24. This last batch has been more tame. The earlier storms were tropical downpours. Still a great event and needed. Next weekend is gonna look green around here.
