  2. I doubt it, especially if the storm keeps trending negative tilt. Large swath of good moisture for central In to Ohio Valley. Keep watching what's happening from TX on northeast.

  4. Thanks....yeah, I had a degree from I.U. in the early seventies in public health with a minor in earth science. Ended up eventually going to seminary and became a progressive United Methodist pastor who still is a weenie for snow storms and svr weather. But man how things have changed since I took my few met courses for the earth science requirements back in the day. All for the good and appreciate the contributions of many on this board. I've been a spotter but never a chaser although I have seen a confirmed tornado once in my life.
  5. I'm 70 and scheduled to get my first shot at Munster Hospital on March 2. Hope the vaccine is available.

  9. Gentle medium size snowflakes falling nicely here in Griffith....looks very peaceful as I look out the window.
  10. KLMK becoming quite concerned this Mon. afternoon for a significant sleet/freezing rain event along the Ohio Valley into KY with this system...Extensive .25-.50 swath at present.

  12. According to the Sat. 12Z GFS the Ozarks catch a foot from this one, but a ne flow off Lake MI gives some interesting prospects for Chicago. Plenty of room to change between now and then.

  19. As an aside there was a confirmed tornado already today just sw of Coffeeville KS with tornado warnings being posted for that area as this storm intensifies.
  20. Nice initial band of precip on radar from Joliet se to Rensselaer area.
  21. 998 surface low over se KS with mid level lapse rates of 7 on up from IA westward moving east. Wonder if we can get some t snow if convection occurs.
  22. Saturating the column here in Griffith....Won't be long now and looking like the significant snow will achieve for once in this area.
  23. Hopefully you won't have to be making professional emergency runs.
