  1. Tracking 1-3” rainfalls has been fun! I’m almost done with drought conditions!
  2. That’s a lot of doom and gloom! How can you not like February snows!?? We’re due a Feb 73 redux!
  3. It the MJO is about to go into 1,2,8 phases, we can’t screw that up!??
  4. It’s coming! The end of next week! A good, dry cold! That’ll be good, we need to dry out and I don’t like snow anyway!
  5. As long as Judah, JB, and Ventrice are saying cold and polar vortex splits, and sea ice expansion, the pattern is locked and loaded, they are never wrong! Slosh
  6. I like our chances at a winter storm between the 4-10th of January
  7. Deep South snowstorm on 18z, 1/6/20 its happening! Right where we want it
  8. That 12 z GFS run! Merry Christmas from the GFS! Big ice storm N.C./SC CAD regions. 1/7-1/8 timeframe. Yes along way off, but something to look at.. Just your run of the mill 1050 high just N of ME, perfect wedge.
  9. Nothing remotely good showing up in the long range, unless you like warm or seasonal and rain
  10. If Jacksonville FL gets snow before GSP, CLT and RAH, that’d be hilarious!
  11. Not sure my total, rain gauge broke, but it’s been non stop rain and wind for 36+ hours! Probably close to 3” , based on rivers and ditches
  12. I’d guess Europe, just like the last 10 winters
  13. It’s actually amazing at how much these storms were identical, not in outcome, but exact same low placement and strength and both had the pressure at 1036 around NC! Crazy
  14. All good looking patterns stay at the end of model runs, op, ensembles, and seasonal! They never seem to move forward in time, unless they are warm! Looking toasty around Christmas, mid-upper 60s here
  15. GFS hasn’t wavered in the past 4-5 days, with no moisture making it much North of i-20. Rock steady and may be right!
  16. It looked so good the last 2 days, we win at winter!
  17. It’s just the same old thing, I try not to wish/bittercast, but I’m great with average, and I get this year is “ better” so far, and I realize we live in the south, but it just seems like sound meteorology doesn’t work anymore. We can’t even get a week of temps below normal, but can get 1-2 weeks above normal, at the drop of a hat.
  18. The GFS never disappoints! I’ve moved on, the New Year’s Eve storm, is gonna be the one!!
